Drumcorps

Drumcorps (aka Aaron Spectre) is an American musician, currently residing in Berlin, Germany. Although Spectre produces in a variety of genres, he is most well known for his energetic live sets comprising of multiple MIDI controllers in addition to his laptop and most recently an electric guitar. Since relocating to Berlin in 2003 from New York, Spectre has played all over Europe and recently completed a tour of Japan.

A classically trained percussionist, Spectre began performing as a drummer for bands in the Massachussets hardcore scene as a teenager. Since then, he began performing as a solo act with his laptop and initially a dulcimer, before evolving into current set up. Though he rarely plays his dulcimer live, he remains a dulcimer enthusiast, having lectured and performed at the Cork Dulcimer Festival in Ireland.

With his Drumcorps project, Spectre has returned to his hardcore musical roots. However, he is an active participant in many genres, even playing the occassional downtempo set.
