Ivan Melo

Born and bread in Brazil, Ivan grew up listening to Motown and British Rock bands from the sixties and seventies. From the beginning of his guitar studies Ivan was looked up to and was influenced by highly technical and expressive playing which led him to navigate through rock, jazz, Brazilian music and fusion. Ivan moved to London in 2011, where his versatility took him to perform at the stages of the Paralympics 2012, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Richmond Theatre and many other prestigious venues. Ivan is constantly working closely to songwriters as a guitarist and as a songwriter himself. Ivan has performed alongside musicians from Erika Baduh, Jethro Tull, Joe Cocker, Iron Maiden and he has also written and performed with Grammy Award winners Snarky Puppy. The guitarist is an in-demand guitar instructor, composer for nylon string guitar, session musician in musical theatre shows and guitarist of the genre-hopping group Hans Prya.
