The Red Tears

Known for their raw energy, the 'Tears have proudly played shows with OPM, Vice Squad & The Vibrators, to name a few. The band released their debut EP 'Embers Ignite’ in March 2013, receiving critical acclaim from RoomThirteen magazine, who compared their sound to U.S. heavyweights The Offspring, and Rancid-endorsed Orange. Right from the start The Red Tears have rolled-up their sleeves. They spent their first summer writing songs and booking shows, and wasted no time in hitting the recording studio later in the year. They laid down their debut record at Vale Studios with producer Chris D'Adda (Manic Street Preachers, Stereophonics, Tony Platt - AC/DC) and after an intense week of recording they slammed straight into a mini-tour of South Wales. "We didn't really expect anyone to turn-up to our debut shows, even though we worked hard with the promoters to let everyone know about them. People were probably thinking ‘The Red who..?’ But we didn't care really. We thought even if it's only the bar staff watching us we're still gonna blast their ears and make a mark. There was so much energy stored inside us that we couldn't wait to send it flying straight out the speakers". But it wasn't just the bar staff watching, and the band certainly raised a few eyebrows. They'd arrived, like a banshee from hell..! With more drive than a monster truck the boys have their sights set on raising the roof at more and more punk shows across the country, and then across other countries too. Keep watch.
