Founding members Jerry Sto and Frank Deranged formed the band Persist in 2006 in Toronto. On the search of finding like minded musicians to complete their line up, they met K.C. Lee, who added a powerful vocal presence - a voice seasoned in a mix of rock and blues who added his incredible stylistic touch to the Persist sound. His soaring voice, a twin guitar attack and a deep bass groove meshed with a solid drum foundation - line up completed by the addition of Christian and Mongo on guitars - defined the sound of Persist. In April 2014 Persist released their first-ever full-length release 'You Don't Shine'. Guest appearances will include Mark Rizzo from Soulfly. Their melodic and crushing musical style with its traces of alternative rock, classic rock and metal is a sound all of their own and they are more determined then ever to bring it to audiences everywhere!
