Youth in a Roman Field is a surrealist folk project (‘Appalachia, cayenne pepper, and ghosts’ and 'like Radiohead but also folk music') fronted by Claire Wellin featuring collaborators Scott Stangland, Tiffany Topol, Jamie Mohamdein, and Cassidy Stirtz. Their original, progressive sound is reflected both in their inventive recordings and intimate, endearing live performances. With sweeping, powerful vocals and dynamic, woven string loops at the forefront, they have you enthralled in stillness one minute and dancing the next.
