Skaggs Family recording artists Cadillac Sky play contemporary bluegrass without being held back by the weight of tradition. Still, the emotional gravity of their music is the listener's first impression. Their original compositions explore timeless American themes while the essential bluegrass instrumentation - fiddle, mandolin, guitar and double bass - evoke the hills and hollows of Appalachia.
