Flagstad

When Anders turned on the radio after returning from school in the early eighties, the national radio P3, had afternoon shows with legendary hosts like Kim Schumacher and Christian Flagstad on the air. Especially these two DJ's - and a few more from german Radio Schleswig Holstein and Radio Luxemburg - formed the Flagstad DJ name.

Since the mid-eighties, Flagstad has played thousands of gigs primarily across Europe; clubs, festivals, shows, radio, and TV. In the 90's he was hosting a daily radio show on Station Copenhagen 102.9 - and playing all the major clubs in Copenhagen at the time; Daddy's Dancehall, X-Ray, U-matic, Blue Heaven, Axel, etc. and build a name for himself by pushing the boundaries in mixing and performance - often bringing live instruments into the mix.

One of the most important values has always been; "Never stop moving boundaries". With this in mind, Flagstad is now focusing on electronic music with an edge, including own productions and remixes in his DJ sets, crossing boundaries in genres; electro house, minimal, garage, grime, techno, and funky nu-disco. Now and then, you can catch Flagstad playing classic sets and performances, with an unprecedented taste for the music that formed his DJ career in the golden decade in music (the 80's) and mind-blowing parties in the 90's.

Flagstad is the founder of DJ collective "Copenhagen After Disco" - a platform for electronic music from Copenhagen, where DJ's and Artists can perform live streams and performances, as well as discuss, learn and promote electronic music - without boundaries.
