Former Astronauts

What happens when you combine: refreshing, melodic guitar riffs, a booming, rhythmic bass and energetic drum beats with some catchy vocals? You get the Rock, dance-infused, unique sound of Puerto Rican indie rock band Former Astronauts Best friends Moises Ruiz (Bassist/Back Vocals) and Adrian Kayvin (Rhythm Guitar/Composer/Vocals) started getting into music at a very young age when they both met in middle school. Adrian grew up with a love for cinema and always wanted to make music that would someday be featured in the big screen. That lead him into writing many songs with Moises who had big ideas and dreams for the future. After different music projects they both founded Former Astronauts in early 2012. Later on their career after a fall out with their past drummer, Adrian and Moises met Emmanuel Moreno (Drummer/Back Vocals) at a bar who at the time was the drummer for a different local band. Soon after the guys joined together and Former Astronauts was reborn in 2015, Releasing 3 of their newest singles to date on "Building Sights" and making music for their upcoming debut album. Recently the band has taken quite the local and international notice with their previous EP "Uplifting Downers" reaching over 140,000 listens worldwide on Spotify and performances like the Coors Light Indie Fest 2015.
