Suitcase Money

Suitcase Money are a Belgian alt. rock outfit, found in Herk-de-Stad by Kristof Cleenders (Guitar) and Martijn Bas (Drums). They initially started out in 2005 as a power-pop band, composing in your face rock songs with a sharp edge. When the first bass player and singer dropped out of the band, Koen Zeegers (Vocals/Guitar/Synthesizer) and Kim Vanelderen (Bass) joined the remaining members of the band. They started using synthesizers and began sounding ‘darker’, establishing themselves as a post-punk/new wave ensemble with influences ranging from ‘A Flock Of Seagulls’ to ‘Magazine’. In 2011, Jens Wijnants (Guitar/Vocals) joined Suitcase Money, making the current line-up complete. Their sound palette has become even more richer, incorporating elements from shoegaze, noise and dream pop, without losing the classic post-punk feel which identifies the band.
