Max August

Based out of Brooklyn and ironically born in July, Max August is a staple in the NYC nightlife scene. Focusing his musical styles on world music, disco, dancehall, r&b, and future soul his sets are unique, diverse, unexpected, and smooth as Tennessee Whisky. Max is involved on every level, from his original music production, as the resident DJ at Cache, and as a founder of Sweatshop NY, Brooklyn's premier Caribbean dance party.

On the whole, Max August simply loves to educate people on great classic music new and old, to transport his audience to a specific time or place, and to give you a hour or two to disappear into the music. He lives his life chasing the telepathic feeling of connecting with a group of people through the universal language of music that links us together.
