As a product of Washington Heights, NY, situated in uptown Manhattan, Pearl Gates is a fresh face on the hip hop scene but no stranger to blessing industry insiders and fans with quality music. Pearl released his mixtape "A Star In A Broken Sky" (2014) and gained a grassroots movement that led to touring opportunities and working on new projects with Masta Ace, Wordsworth, Boldy James (Mass Appeal Records) and Heatmakers among others. Gates appeared alongside rap supergroup eMC (Masta Ace, Wordsworth, and Stricklin) on their new single "Fly Thoughts" (via Penalty Entertaintment) and is part of Philadelphia based hip hop collective TheIdea. Gates' debut EP "Diamond Mind" is set for release this year on Below System Records. If his potential continues to be as promising as most believe, then this soon- to- be star will undoubtedly stake his claim in the game.
