Joe La Truite’s sound is pure Zguen energy. Impulsive, ultra-efficient, Psychedelic Punk-Metal music…..Somewhere near Marseille.

Having written, produced and recorded a new album titled ‘Ultimate Ninja Storm 2: Full Zguen’, at dBd Studio in the scenic South of France, the band has spent the last 8 months preparing for the launch of the album on June 13th 2025, through Full Zguen Records and Music Gateway Distribution.

Beginning as a bit of fun in 2017, releasing an EP in that year, followed by another in 2019, founding members Julien Liphard (Guitars/Vocals) and Charles Roussel (Bass/Vocals) met current drummer Martin Denquin, and the trio gelled. The band wrote, recorded and released their 2022 Album ‘Trapped In The Cosmos’, which, though it received no exploitation outside of their home region, gained solid critique and the band grew a solid cult following in the live scene amongst those hailing from around Marseille.

As the band’s 2022 album, Trapped In The Cosmos, was never exploited, the band and management undertook an introductory campaign to media and industry in the later half of 2024, with the old album successfully picking up rotation airplay across the world with multiple syndicated metal programs and in that time also partnered up with SLH Agency PR from France, Metal Devastation PR in the USA, and Rola Music from Austria and Germany.

On the 1st March 2025, Joe La Truite launched their first video single from the album, ‘Bad Death City’, followed by the release of the second video single, Light Speed April 11th, both songs of which marked a bold step forward in songwriting and musicianship, in relation to Trapped In The Cosmos. The new tracks showcase the band's evolution and cement their place in the underground music scene, earning solid media critique along with further well-supported airplay.

With the album, due in June 2025, Joe La Truite’s third single “Octogone 8000”, unleashed on the 16th May 2025 continues to expand the lore of Joe La Truite’s upcoming concept album, Ultimate Ninja Storm 2: Full Zguen , which is an epic tale of cosmic characters in an adventurous gaming world living somewhere in the Cosmos… or is it somewhere near Marseille?

Après avoir écrit, produit et enregistré un nouvel album intitulé « Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 : Full Zguen » au dBd Studio, dans le sud de la France, le groupe a passé les huit derniers mois à préparer la sortie de l'album le 13 juin 2025, via Full Zguen Records et Music Gateway Distribution.

Formé en 2016, sortant un EP en 2017, puis un autre en 2019, les membres fondateurs Julien Liphard (guitares/chant) et Charles Roussel (basse/chant) ont rencontré l'actuel batteur Martin Denquin. Le trio a écrit, enregistré et sorti son album « Trapped In The Cosmos » en 2022. Bien qu'il n'ait pas été exploité en dehors de leur région d'origine, il a reçu de bonnes critiques et s'est constitué un public fidèle parmi les amateurs de musique live de la région marseillaise.

Comme « Trapped In The Cosmos » n'a jamais été exploité, le groupe et son management ont entrepris une campagne de présentation auprès des médias et de l'industrie. L'album a ainsi été diffusé avec succès dans le monde entier, notamment dans plusieurs émissions de metal, et le groupe s'est associé à l'agence SLH Agency PR en France, Metal Devastation PR aux États-Unis, puis Rola Music en Autriche et en Allemagne.

Le 1er mars 2025, Joe La Truite a lancé le premier single vidéo de l'album, « Bad Death City », suivi du deuxième single vidéo, « Light Speed », qui ont tous deux marqué une avancée audacieuse dans l'écriture et le talent musical du groupe depuis leur précédent album. Les nouveaux morceaux mettent en valeur l'évolution du groupe et consolident sa place sur la scène musicale underground, lui valant des critiques élogieuses dans les médias et une diffusion mondiale.

Avec la sortie de l'album prévue en juin 2025, le troisième single de Joe La Truite, « Octogone 8000 », sorti le 16 mai 2025, continue d'étoffer l'univers du prochain album conceptuel de Joe La Truite, « Ultimate Ninja Storm 2: Full Zguen », qui raconte l'histoire épique de personnages cosmiques évoluant dans un monde vidéoludique aventureux situé quelque part dans le cosmos... ou peut-être près de Marseille ?

JLT se fait connaître pour son style hybride et ses récits ironiques. Joe La Truite offre une fusion hallucinante de punk, de métal et de folie psychédélique.

Jeder Track ist sehr abwechslungsreich und erinnert an einige der großen Progressive Metal Bands, ist aber stilistisch einzigartig.

Joe La Truites Texte behandeln Charaktere, deren Geist und Seele nicht zu stark miteinander verwoben sind. Ein wiedererweckter Krieger, ein Stadtplanet, ein Nachtclub mit Eintritt, ein verschwundener Superheld, ein Kult böser Kinder, kosmisches Gemüse, eine Forelle am Rande des Sterbens…
Freundschaften wurden geschlossen und Tränen vergossen.
