Devin Townsend

The reason we bought tickets was to see Dream Theater. However, although they put on a great show(no doubt). Devin stole the show. I have been a fan of his since the early 90's. And when I saw he was on the same bill, I was all that more excited. The four of us all felt the same way. I had the most fun when he was up there. BRING HIM BACK

El concierto más flojo que he visto de Devin Townsend. El bajo no se escuchaba, y si restamos el tiempo que Devin estuvo hablando, tocó una hora y 20 minutos, tiempo que se antoja a todas luces escaso. En cualquier caso, me encantó escuchar antiguos clásicos como The Fluke, Deadhead, Bad Devil, Deep Peace y Love?, muy superiores a lo que ha estado haciendo últimamente. ¿Quizá es la hora de volver a reunir a la Devin Townsend Band?

Superbe soirée merci Le Splendid 🌟 DT : le roi de la soirée, accueilli comme il se doit dès les 1ères secondes de son hit Kingdom. Son énorme et limpide, et jeux de lights réussis. Le set qui a alterné entre émotion et humour comprenait le sublime Deadhead, ... frissons garantis. Quant à l'album Lightwork j'étais agréablement surpris moi qui avais peu accroché à l'album. Ça sonne bien !! En bonus Mike Keneally aux claviers et guitares excusez du peu !!! Le set se termina sur le titre Love, avec une bonne prestation du batteur Darby Todd peu habitué je crois à ce déluge de double grosse caisse (d'ailleurs il "simplifia" un peu). Ptit bémol, un bassiste qui s'ennuyait ferme et un concert trooooop court. Il manquait clairement des incontournables. Mais bon 🤗 Klone : concert magistral avec le nouveau titre Elusive en ouverture suivi de leur carton Rocket Smoke. Autre nouveau titre, Bystander rend très bien aussi en live. J'ai adoré et le public était bien présent ! Un set court mais tout en énergie et en nuances avec un super son. A revoir en tête d'affiche et BRAVO notamment au batteur Jelly du groupe Adagio. 1ere partie : j'étais absent désolé pour Fixation

He burps because "f*ck you", we're not to boo his a*ehole and we were told to go f*ck ourselves. The music was awesome. They struggled with the drums, though. The acoustics made the drums, especially the snare, much louder than the rest, and the vocals weren't loud enough but I still enjoyed myself very much with my two youngest kids.

Show surprenant en bien car certain morceaux sont rarement joués et c’était une bonne surprise. Seul bémol est les pauvres 45 minutes du show. C’est court pour voir toutes les facettes d’un génie comme Devin. Merci pour les morceaux de Ziltoid. Keep the faith Devin, you’re Great.

My first ever experience of Devin Townsend live and he did not disappoint!! The sheer showmanship as well as his incredible musical ability was just mind blowing. The Albert Hall is always just a stunning venue for any event anyway. Cannot wait until the next time to see Devin live. Leprous were amazing as support as well. Would happily see them again also!

Absolutely perfect - Devin works so hard for us and is always the ultimate entertainer. After listening to him bare his soul about the extreme difficulties in his life while writing and producing Infinity - It was amazing to see how much he embraced and enjoyed performing it for us. As much as I feel like Dev is my personal therapist - I think we serve him in the same way, to an extent. That would make sense, because there is such an intense connection for so many of us. The stream itself was very smooth and high quality. Cheers

Last time I saw DTP was PNAS 2014 ( Rock Cruise)and I loved them full on metal. Complete change with new line up far superior mike Keneally , guest keyboards Diego (from Haken) . Bonkers but more eclectic. Need some more time to figure if I like the Empath experience

I've had to wait 16 years since I first found Strapping Young Lad as a teenager to finally see Devin live. Completely worth the wait. Devin's music changed my life for the better, and it was a beautiful show. Motherfuckin Disco Inferno, baby!

Haken and The Contortionist were fantastic. Devin on the other hand was simply amazing. The man is an entertainer in the truest sense. I don't know how he can sound so damn good singing and screaming like that every night! Will always go out of my way to see him. His band was fantastic as well and I fell in love with one of the members 😁

One of the best shows I've ever been to... an amazing example of true musicians in a time where so much crap is considered to be talent and force fed to people. It was awesome to get a chance to see these guys...good music is hard to find in what has become just an industry of cool.

Devin has never disappointed me. It was an absolutely awesome and fun show! Haken was fantastic, and I wish the mix had been better for The Contortionist - it seemed very muddy, but having never listened to them or Haken before, I will definitely be digging into their catalogs.

Devin is fantastic live and it's the best live performance I've seen in terms of vocals. It's not an exaggeration when I say he sounds just like as if you were listening to one of his albums. The control he has over his voice is honestly amazing. He is charming, comical, and very humble on stage. I will continue to support and attend his shows until I can't anymore. He's my favorite musician! The only complaint in this concert was that the microphone for all the performers was way too low compared to the instruments. I unfortunately could barely hear the singer of The Contortionist or Haken, too. The crowd was also very loud and made it difficult to hear Devin during certain songs due to the mic. Usually I don't have trouble hearing singers at other concerts so this was unfortunate. I still enjoyed the show very much and I really look forward to seeing him again in the US, hopefully after Volume 2 releases!

This show was simply epic! As always... Thanks Dev!!! And thank you Haken for the cooperation!!! Ohh one more thing. I've been to this venue a few times, but this gig sounded way better, cleaner, tighter than anything else before! So... massive shout-out to all the crew as well as to everyone on stage! Thank you guys! It was a really great concert! :)

Fucking awesome, great country, met a lot of insane nice and interesting people (especially the Canadian brothers who live 20 minutes from Devy, but still have to travel around the world just to see him, Charles the other Canadian, Mike and Mitch (the Aussies)) The beer was cheap and the venue was incredible. Can't wait for the Infinity anniversary show next year!

Muy Buen show, pero un poco corto, todo muy cronometrado. Podrían haber tocado otras canciones , desde luego no oímos el mejor repertorio. No obstante, buen concierto y enhorabuena para toda la banda , Mike , Dave, Ryan, Brian and Devin. Organización en La Riviera regular, una vergüenza pedir 10€ en el guardarropa por 3 bolsos (que nos habían regalado al entrar al Meet and Greet) y 1 chaqueta. Pedimos si se podían juntar al menos 2 y dijeron q no. Luego, muy lentos a la hora de recuperar nuestras pertenencias , encima bloqueando una escalera por parte de los seguratas chulos.

loved every second of this concert. all the bands were great but of course I was there to see Devin Townsend Project and they rocked. been a fan for a long time but never got to see them live before and they were awesome. I dare say it was the best show I've ever been to. The Plaza Live is also a cool venue and I will definitely have to catch another show there sometime.

Leprous was just plain awesome. Tesseract was boring AF. Devin played Ocean Machine in its entirety- which was a bit weak, but brilliant at times (especially considering the guys learnt it during this tour specifically for this one gig!), after which he played a few of the new tracks (incl higher) which was phenomenal. Great all round gig but would have preferred if leprous had a (much) larger slot, tesseract didn't play at all and Devy did more of the newer stuff!

The Palladium was a filthy, decrepit venue with no ventilation and terrible acoustics. The event coordinator posted the showtime as 7-10. The show started at 6:30 and went until 11:30. An extra band was added to the lineup, so anyone who took the train in from Boston didn't even get to see the band they came for; as the last train back to Boston left at 10:30. I'm sure DTP played an amazing show, it's too bad no one could hear anything because of how terrible the sound quality was in the building. The good news about this place is that while you're waiting for the opening acts to finish up, you can watch people pass out from dehydration due to the heat, and humidity in the club. This was my first and last time at the palladium. I love DTP and I hope to see them again at venue that isn't so shabby.

The venue wasn't big enough for DTP. The sound sucked and there were too many rude people there. Devin is an absolutely amazing musician, though, and it was all worth seeing him. I would go a million times, again, if I could. It's always worth it to see Devin Townsend.
