Electric Age Band

Electric Age was formed in August 2011, initially as a Deep Purple tribute band. After taking part and winning some festivals in São Paulo, Brazil, the connection between the members and the highly skilled live performances flourished, the idea of composing self-penned material developed. The next step was composing and recording the band's first material, an EP entitled Good Times Are Coming, released in June 2013. Despite not following a concept, the EP puts forth in its tracks a very deep connection due to the influences of the great heavy metal and hard rock bands of the 1970's and 1980's with touches of jazz, blues and progressive rock in technical and original style. As for the style of the compositions, the band prefers not to stick to any pre determination, bringing in elements from each member's influence, ranging widely between genres. Both in rehearsals and concerts, Electric Age has developed the habit of improvising, making each performance unique and transmits energy to the audience. Electric Age is currently playing the EP all over Brazil while planning to release it's material outside the country and writing songs for their first album, still untittled. A banda Electric Age se formou em agosto de 2011 com a proposta inicial de um tributo a banda Deep Purple. Com muito entrosamento entre os musicos e a vontade de criar um material autoral, começaram a desenvolver composições que logo foram gravadas, tornando se o primeiro registro, um EP com 6 musicas intitulado Good Times Are Coming lançado em junho de 2013. O EP, apesar de não seguir uma linha conceitual, traz em seu conteudo uma grande conecção entre as faixas devido as influencias que a banda possui e apresenta, remetendo as grandes bandas de heavy metal hard rock dos anos 70/80 com partes de jazz blues e rock progressivo e uma roupagem tecnica e originial, fazendo jus ao titulo do album. Em termos de composição a banda não se limita a nenhum rotulo, trazendo elementos e influencias de cada membro e assim construindo uma grande variedade nos generos do repertório autoral. Tanto em ensaios quanto em apresentações ao vivo, a Electric Age criou o habito de experimentar e improvisar, cada apresentação se torna única e transmite uma forte energia da banda para o público. A Electric Age atualmente está fazendo shows de divulgação do EP em todo o Brasil, buscando também um lançamento fora do pais e compondo material que tem previsão para sair em 2014 e vira a ser o seu primeiro album, ainda sem titulo.
