About RPM
There is more than one artist with this name.
1) RPM (Revoluções Por Minuto, or revolutions per minute in English) is a Brazilian 80s synth-rock band formed in 1976, lead by singer and bassist Paulo Ricardo. They made enourmous success between 1985 and 1987, with their albums (Revoluções Por Minuto, 1985, and Rádio Pirata Ao Vivo, 1986) selling millions of copies in Brazil.
The band had some broke-ups and comebacks since the first, on 1989. Paulo Ricardo used to as a solo artist and he got other bands during the breakups. The other members are Luiz Schiavion (keyboards and programming), Fernando Deluqui (guitars) and Paulo "P.A." Pagni. The band is currently working on new songs for an album, to be released 2008.
2) RPM is a turntablist and trip hop band that appeared on mo'wax Records' "Headz" compilations in the 1990s. Their music has not been widely published other than these rare (and now discontinued) instrumentals on Headz. The tracks on the albums are "The Inside", "2000", and "Flow" which could be described as soporific, dubby trip hop.
3) RPM is Rock Productions Music, the youth Christian rock band of Bradford's Abundant Life Church, Bradford in the United Kingdom. They are led by youth pastor Jonathan "Jock" James. Since their formation in 2002, they have become one of the most popular worship groups in Britain.
4) RPM (Revolution Per Minute) is Estonian street punk band. They have one demo album: D.I.Y. Totally homeade as the name explains it. The members are: Karu(drums, back vocal), Oss(vocal, guitar) and Kalev(guitar)
