Fortress Social Club

Fortress Social Club began in 2012 as the first lab-rat recording project to take place at the now booked-out Fortress recording studio in downtown Los Angeles. Shawn Harris (vox/harmonica) and Mykul Lee (guitar) loosely brought together 20+ musicians to record an EP and LP (Dreamin’ The Life) of garage-style rock n’ roll originals on the studio’s rare collection of vintage recording equipment. Eventually leaning-down to accommodate for the live setting, and subsequent live-recorded LP (Make Love Not Babies), the group’s lineup is now rounded out by Harris’s sister, Jo Harris (vox/keys), Johnzo West (guitar), Bird Andres (bass), and Rob Humphreys (drums). FSC, in their love-affair with the sound of a golden era of rock n’ roll, put on a rollicking, sweaty, dance-party of a show. In March, 2015, they released a third LP featuring psychedelically re-imagined covers of Cyndi Lauper, Simon and Garfunkel, and even Drake.
