About Team Cybergeist

In the Fall of 2006, Angel Bartolotta (best known as the drummer for Dope, Genitorturers, PIG, Crossbreed, Switched) started a solo studio project, which would go on to grow into a full force collaborative band featuring over 100 different musicians from all over the globe. Team Cybergeist. Led by Angel, the roster of artists is an ever-growing family of talent and inspiration. Members of Shinedown, Stone Sour, Nonpoint, Morbid Angel, Kittie, Adema, Static-X, Coal Chamber, Stabbing Westward, Black Veil Brides, Pigface, Dark New Day, Godhead, PIG, Psyclon Nine, The Dreaming, Amen, Eye Empire, Lords Of Acid, Soil, Our Last Enemy, KMFDM, and many others have all contributed to Team Cybergeist. Angel also brings in local musicians, giving them the opportunity to write and record with some of their favorite musicians. Platinum selling artists and virtually unknown musicians, all performing together as one. For live shows and events, Angel Bartolotta has hand picked members of the studio lineup, as well as some new blood, to put together a strong team of talented musicians to play and perform the music of Team Cybergeist. The live band consists of vocalist Sally Debauchery (who previously played bass for the touring lineup), guitarists Jason Schmidt (who also co-produces in the studio) and Spyder Z Prime, and bassist Mark Carlson. Angel lays down the backbone as the band's live drummer as well as running samples, synths, and loops. The touring lineup is a solid unit, the foundation of Team Cybergeist. But to keep in the collaborative nature of the project, special guests are often added to the live lineup. Team Cybergeist delivers an intense live show incorporating captivating stage presence, strong musicianship, and custom lighted instruments into a high energy performance. Since 2009, Team Cybergeist has been headlining their own National tours as well as playing shows and radio festivals in support of major industry acts. Alice In Chains, Godsmack, Evanescence, Limp Bizkit, Chevelle, Halestorm, Buckcherry, Sevendust, Puddle Of Mudd, Hellyeah, Smile Empty Soul, Slick Idiot, Anew Revolution, Psychostick, Lords Of Acid, Hed PE, Wayne Static, and Mushroomhead to name a few. Team Cybergeist’s first full-length album, “How To Destroy Something Beautiful”, was independently released on July 10, 2010 in the United States, followed by 2 National headlining tours. An alternate version of “How To Destroy Something Beautiful” was released in Japan (RB Records) 8 months prior to the USA release and was displayed as #1 at the Tower Records listening stations. On October 19, 2013, Team Cybergeist released “Zombie”, an EP featuring a new song, 3 remixes, and a cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Head Like A Hole”. There were only 100 physical copies of this independent release, which sold out in less than 12 hours after it’s announcement. Angel and the team are now in the studio writing and recording what will be Team Cybergeist’s next full-length release, “The Other Side Of Fate”. "In a music scene constrained by ruthless competition and heightened egoism,” explains Angel, “it is exciting to lead a team of humble musicians from a diversity of backgrounds who willingly compose for the love of music. This project is a collaborative effort, meant to unite the scene and break down the hierarchical nature of the music industry." Team Cybergeist is endorsed by DW Drums, PDP Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, ProMark Drumsticks, Evans Drumheads, Pintech Electronics, Westone In-Ear Monitors, Steve Clayton Guitar Picks, DrumLite, and Wornstar Clothing. Team Cybergeist is also a Jagermeister band. *************** INDUSTRY TESTIMONIALS: “I love this stuff. Great stage presence. Great stuff!” – Matt LaPlant (Beiler Bros. Records) “Truly one of Charlotte County’s highlight moments for original music!” – Sean Bryan (concert promoter) "Over the past twelve years or so going to see bands play, I've seen some great drummers. This past weekend at Rocktoberfest, Angel Bartolotta blew every one of them out of the water! It's hard to explain, you just have to see him. It's more than drumming, it's art in motion at it's finest! Make sure you check him out with his band Team Cybergeist!" - Shannon McLaughlin (SWFL Spot Magazine) “Great show opening. Bass player attitude GREAT! Fun rock. Drummer A+.” – Chris Kurtz (The Media Twist Group) “Great vocals. The drummer is a real asset!” – Quinton Sheer (entertainment lawyer / major label talent scout) “Great performance and show. Way to grab the crowd. Kudos to the drummer for stealing the show.” – Super Sidekick Records MUSICIAN TESTIMONIALS: “Team Cybergeist is a killer project! The best musicians in the world of loud music on one record. I am stoked to be a part of it with many of my friends!” – Curse Mackey (Pigface) “One of the best rewards for an artist, is to be able to collaborate with other artists that they admire. I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a killer project.” – Virus (Dope) “It was much fun contributing to such a diverse project. Music should be fun and it sounds like everyone who contributed enjoyed it at least as much as I did” – David “Evil D” Vincent (Morbid Angel) “Working on Team Cybergeist with Angel was great! It was so much fun to have someone say “do whatever you want.” Angel hands over full control to each person and I think that’s when every artist does their best work. Team Cybergeist is the ultimate Metal Unity!!!” – Tara McLeod (Kittie) “When Angel approached me with being involved with this project, I thought it was fucking cool. Brilliant idea by a brilliant musician. It’s been an honor to be a part of this.” – Jinxx (Black Veil Brides, The Dreaming, Amen) “Working with Angel was really cool.
