LADY COLECO

Born (Anji Dimitriou on February 17th, 1978) to Greek parents in Toronto, Canada, Lady Coleco spent her younger years drenching herself in the music of her time. It was the diversity of these influences, from 80’s pop, new wave, freestyle to disco, synth pop and hip-hop, that molded her into the “Remix Junkie” she is today. Loving the deep, hard beats of electronic dance music has launched her career to playing high-energy sets on frenzied dance floors around the country. Lady Coleco has been playing and recording songs since the age of 14. She went on to produce 32 different Toronto artists all the while making songs for herself and keeping to her roots. She has had her own songs on the radio in both Canada and the US as well as being interview by various media personalities. Eventually she found success and began to play all the big nightclubs in Toronto. Lady Coleco has played many different venues in Ontario and some also in the United States. While on her journey in the United States she landed a manger and then eventually got herself a publishing deal. She has met many affluent people like Paul Oakenfold, Vanilla Ice, David Arquette, Kardinal Offical, Devine Brown, Lucas Silveira, and Roger Sanchez whom is still in contact with, just to name a few. A staple in the gay party scene, she has maintained residency at OUT LOUNGE every weekend. Lady Coleco is a huge community activist volunteering her time to many different LGBT organizations including being a chapter leader with PFLAG Canada for many years. She performed for Pride Prom and in annual Gay Pride events all over Ontario. She has also brought down the house for “Gay Day” at Canada’s Wonderland, three years in a row. Lady Coleco hosts a weekly podcast on iTunes that is recorded live and is distributed internationally. Her love of connecting with the crowd ensures an evident, mutual energy and appreciation between Coleco and the crowd: “The most important things for me is to become one with the crowd and feel what they are feeling. I want to connect with them emotionally through music and on the dance floor. I love my fans and their dedication to my music. They are my inspiration.” Lady Coleco’s explosive four hour sets are expertly crafted to give club-goers a blast from the past with deep, hard beats allowing them to fall into the realm of the “Remix Junkie.” She isn't your average DJ......LADY COLECO is a REMIX JUNKIE!!!
