The guys had a great but short show at the Walmart AMP with Edwin McCain and Hootie & the Blowfish. No offense Blowfish fans, but Collective Soul should have been headlining this. They have the hits and the experience and are just so much better musicians and entertainers. Ed took the stage in a flashy red jacket and just dominated some of their classics. The threw in a fun homage to AC/DC with a cover of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap that had the audience jumping! I think they only played one of the songs off their new double album Here to Eternity - would definitely like to hear some of those played live in concert. Wish I had written down the set list but was too excited after not seeing them in concert for a few years. Always a good show!

Another AMAZING show for Ed and Collective Soul. Ed is an adorable host. He really knows how to have fun and not take himself seriously. I love the guests he brings on stage. Everyone at these shows is family and friends and we all get along, laugh, have fun and enjoy ourselves. Eddie's Attic is THE ULTIMATE venue for intimacy and quality. They always have great workers there who are funny and support their customers. This is the BEST place for Ed to host his Winter Wonder Bash shows. I always fly from Michigan to Georgia to see these shows. Will be going again in the future years!

CS might be the greatest rock and roll band left performing. Their body of work is immense, they played for almost 2 hours and you are left totally amazed and satisfied, yet knowing there is so much more they could do. Ed Roland is one of the best singer/songwriters/front men of all time, and seems to finally be getting some of the critical recognition he and his band deserves. Becoming a cliche at this point, but they are one of the most unappreciated bands of all time.
Performance was as usual energetic, and the sold out crowd was totally into it. All of the band are great musicians at the top of their game, they know how to perform live and truly seem to love what they are doing. It was a great night, and my family and I will always go to see them anytime we are able to.

I have been a huge fan since the '90s and have seen them several times. The show on August 18th, at the Saranac Brewery, was not one of their best. The sets are well rounded, but this time there was so much bantering on stage. First off, no fault of anybody, it was pouring rain; but that the fans had to listen to pointless narrative from the lead vocalist, Ed Roland, while we had to sit in pouring rain. The band members were standing around on stage just as much as the soaking fans stood around waiting for the next song. Don't get me wrong, this band is stellar. I have heard them rock the house down. It just wasn't one of their nights.

This wasn't the best Collective Soul concert I've seen, which is a first. Typically Collective Soul racks up beyond a 5-star review, but I ticked off 2 stars this time for a few reasons.
The venue itself was SO COLD that you couldn't enjoy yourself. As simple as that. On Collective Soul's end, the setlist was TERRIBLY short. They had 12 songs planned, but cut down to 11 (they skipped "Right As Rain"). Not only that, but they put someone else in their setlist called Storie. He was very good but to have his act use Collective Soul's time is ridiculous. I came for COLLECTIVE SOUL. "Right As Rain" is my favorite song and while it was kind for them to swap "Right As Rain" for someone else's act, it's really not a smart move. Nobody knows what to expect for Collective Soul's set and not in a good way. When you pay to see a band you should expect their set list to be THEM. They also keep adding a cover of "R.E.M." in their setlist. Of course their cover sounds great (better than R.E.M. imo) but I pay to hear COLLECTIVE SOUL songs. They need to drop "The One I Love" in their setlist; it's getting SO old after 5 years or more of playing. Not every CS fans like R.E.M. At this point I only got to hear 10 Collective Soul songs and as someone who flew from Michigan to Georgia for this historic event at the Fox with my favorite band... not exactly worth it in that regard.
For whatever time CS did have to play, it was of course TOP NOTCH. I was 2nd row. This band NEVER disappoints with the wild, positive, fun energy of their live shows. It's always awesome that Ed brought his son Lindsey on stage to sing. By default, I always give Collective Soul 5 stars as they set the bar high for expectations. I've never ticked off a star before. I've seen them 13 times in 2 years. I'm a bit obsessed. This was a "specialty" show, and certainly wasn't for everyone. I will always see Collective Soul live because they're a rare and talented band- meeting them again is always my favorite part!!!!

Very nice VIP meet & greet. Wayne (crew) was awesome with all the guests. Show was great! I believe it was a 16 song set. Everyone was on-point. They even snuck in a couple treats (won't spoil it for future guests). Got my merch & a signed drum head, as well as a set list lyric sheet & one of Will's picks🤘🤘
Security guys were awesome! So friendly & personable.
Only bad thing was an irritable sound guy who needed a serious attitude adjustment, telling some fans to "go the F***home", and "I don't give a F***" when the group asked what his problem was. Not sure of his employment was the band or Oglebay- but he was extremely sour & combative.
EVERYBODY but THAT guy were awesome. Great crowd. Strangers talking to each other. New friends made.

This is an honest review of a fan who was in the building. Collective Soul started out great, they were in a rocking mood and roared through the first half of the show. Ed Roland then started interacting with the audience, and he was seen smoking something that I bet was not tobacco right on the stage. I have never seen Collective Soul before, so I do not know if this was typical, but while he seemed really loose and having fun, it also seemed as though he lost focus on playing the set.
The band started "She Said" after a monologue, and he forgot a line. They restarted the song and played it really well. They then brought on a friend of the band whom Ed met in Nashville (I forget his name) and he played second lead guitar during "December". I have to admit, the guy was really good, and they turned "December" into an Allman Brothers-style jam, and ended up the song rocking "December" harder than I ever thought it could be. It was wonderful and Ed was having a great time.
The problem is that this shortened their set and they then started "Run", and ended it with an extended acoustic outro jam. Ed kept saying during "December" that this was so much fun, it was like jamming in their parents basement, that they had been making a new album for a month in Palm Springs, and that this was magical. He is right, it was great, but I could not help but notice that the set lists from shows earlier this month included "Gel' and "Where the River Flows". They cut these from the set and did not have an encore.
I gave 4 stars because the first half of the show was awesome and the second half, while messy, was fun. This is probably a rare show for this band, I bet they do not bust out jammy versions very often. So while I will have to be happy with having seen a unique Collective Soul show, I do feel Ed lost focus and, as a result, I lost a couple of songs. Major songs, too. I dock a star for that.
I may go see them again to get a chance at seeing more hits.

This is the 3rd time I flew to Atlanta to see Collective Soul live in less than 2 years? Why? BECAUSE THEY ABSOLUTELY DELIEVER 100000%!!!! I almost find it pointless to review Collective Soul concerts, because everybody knows they're badass and they sound better than ever. I'm a 23 year old girl and they're my favorite band. Ed is SUCH an energetic force on stage and the rest of the boys LITERALLY shred to the point that you can't even look away. There are no beer or restroom stops when you see Collective Soul. They ABSOULTELY will blow your mind away. And meeting them at their meet and greets are always fun and inspirational. These guys are full of love. Their shows are TOP NOTCH rock and roll!!

Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida is a fabulous venue for concerts; I've seen many great shows - sitting on the front row (Joe Bonamassa, Joe Satriani, Jerry Seinfeld) and even sitting on the last row (Alan Parsons Project), and although I'll take the front row over the last row, every seat has a great view and wonderful sound.
Switchfoot and Collective Soul - you've got to be kidding!! Two headliners in one show. Both played full concerts...okay, maybe both bands shortened their regular main attraction shows, but each played a full 75 minutes or more.
The audience loved the both! They/We even enjoyed Jade Jackson who sang an enthusiastic 20 minute set. I'm not a professional reviewer, so I won't go into minute details, but all I can say was both bands rocked, and both bands made their appearance extremely personal with the audience. Not like a Roger Waters concert that is visually strongly negative and political, with the only words coming from him being "Thank you" and "Good night"! Frontmen Jon Foreman of Swictchfoot and Ed Roland of Collective Soul were both tremendous 'masters of ceremonies" as they lovingly engaged the audience with their banter and enthusiasm.
Again, both bands sounded fabulous, truly rocked, they were all very loving and complimentary to each other, and even though it was a long night....it was one of the best shows (and I've seen a lot of bands) ever! Trust me....go see them....together or separately....a splendid time is guaranteed for all!

Not a fan of Chastain and felt Switchfoot played way too long and Collective Soul did not play long enough. Probably 90% of us there are part of the Collective Soul family and paid our big bucks to see Collective Soul. Their concert at the Roxy a few years ago where it was just them was AWESOME!. Spoke to several other long time CS fans and none of them liked last nights concert.
What was good about it was getting to meet Ed's dog before the show, the new Bob Dylan song was very well done is a hit, seeing 3 of their kids join them for December was very cool and the teen on the piano was awesome, and the band was as good as ever. Just not enough of them playing music.
Chastain's rules are getting ridiculous. Bands should avoid that place and instead to the one in Alpharetta, the Fox, ASO's hall, etc. CS was also awesome at the Bowl in Sugar Hill.
Again, I am not bad mouthing CS since they are always awesome but we need to see them play longer sets at a better venue.

This was my third Collective Soul concert and as always they were FABULOUS! Ed Roland has such high energy that it is shared with the fans. By the way loved his outfit! They played a few new songs that I really enjoyed. I look forward to seeing them again when they come through Denver. Now on to Switchfoot, honestly I was not familiar with them BUT they were WONDERFUL!!! Jon Foreman the lead singer LOVES what he does and it shows! When he came out into the audience it was so much fun to watch him interact with fans! Even though I only knew a few songs I found myself really enjoying their music! They were a perfect opener for Collective Soul and had the fans ready for more!

Awesome show! The venue was small and intimate which made for a great show. Collective Soul totally killed it and played some of their classic hits and a couple newer songs that were good too. Switchfoot was good but it was clear most people had come for Collective Soul. I would have preferred 1 hr Switchfoot and 2 hrs Collective Soul instead of an even split. The venue has a hard 10 pm cut off time and Collective Soul had to quickly get to the last few songs before curfew. I enjoyed the show and will look for future concerts at the Sandy Amphitheater.

Collective Soul shredded again, and I expected nothing less. They added some new songs into the setlist that ROCK, and an oldie called "Compliment"! Very pleased with this band, as this was my 10th concert of theirs! Ed's voice was a little rough at the start, but he gained control right away. The band had loads of fun on stage and thoroughly enjoy rocking the hell out of every venue they play at! I also met Collective Soul at a VIP meet & greet they hosted at the show and it was well worth the price! The meeting was very brief but I already met the band many times before. They treat their fans with so much love and respect. They are true southern gentlemen who love to please their fans and know how to have a good time. The merch gifts were a custom Collective Soul cooler and blanket to sit on at concerts. Both items were so unique and worth it! This band is worth any price and distance guaranteed! I have traveled over 700 miles to see this band perform for the first time and it was the best decision I ever made. Please GO SEE COLLECTIVE SOUL while you can!!!

Show was awesome...all three acts superb and went above and beyond on such a hot day. Performers 5+ stars...venue treating guests like criminals and animals...1 star..so I have to give this show only 3 on average.
The venue is nice, but the management/security was lazy, selective, and disorganized at best. Their website mentioned small point-and-shoot (non-interchangeable lens cameras are allowed. I am an amateur photographer and enjoy taking photos of performers so I brought mine. But upon entry, security told me (rudely) no cameras whatsoever and I had to trek back to my car (in heat) with my little camera...wouldn't even let me speak with someone. Needless to say, I saw several people (audience ...not event staff) taking photos with large cameras than mine.
Despite that, show was awesome. Interesting how you ask for photos from the show in this review...No thank you--I'm really embarrased by the quality of the few I took with cheap cellphone. Hopefully, Indian Ranch will look at how they treat their guests, as it is a beautiful venue, but as it stands now, I am seriously considering going elsewhere to spend my entertainment dollars.

Not a great venue if you would like to see the artists. The rise from one row to the next is so slight that you are trying to peer through several rows of heads, and if everyone stands, it's no different. Unless it's someone I absolutely have to see, I probably won't go back to this venue.
That said, it was fun to be at a concert that started at 1pm. The openers were fine. Collective Soul has a new album coming out soon and I'm looking forward to that, but Ed seemed to be cheating on his vocals a little; maybe it's been a long tour or maybe time is catching up to his vocal chords.

Collective Soul was amazing. Glad they were playing so close by. The concert venue had literally no air circulation (hence the minus half star), but it was classy of them at the Fillmore to hand out free water bottles. It felt like Switchfoot and opening acts went longer than usual opening acts, and while it was cool, just after a while I’m thinking being on Collective Soul!
Set list included some of my favorite songs: Gel, Where the River Flows, Heavy, Shine, Run, December, World I Know, and some stuff off their new album. I wish they would perform Why Pt. 2 in concert sometime, but knew that would be a stretch. They were awesome live, much better than any studio track. Also had a live performance of Happy Birthday (Ed Roland’s birthday) that’s what happens when you have a birthday on tour haha!

I'm 22 and I LOVE Collective Soul. My favorite band FOREVER. This was my 8th time seeing them and they only get BETTER. I think this was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. They're rock and roll gods up there on stage, especially Ed Roland who can work up any audience with his charisma, excessive energy, dancing, bright smiles and entertaining stories. He is the ultimate showman. Even at shows like these where majority of the audience was just there because of the casino concert perks and only knew "Shine", Ed was able to get these people up and standing, bopping their heads and smiling all around. The rest of the band is SUPER tight as well. Jesse is an absolutely professional rocker on the guitar, and he knows it. He stands in that "rock star" stance where his legs are bent and his guitar is flung high in the air- the audience can't help but be in awe at his shredding.
My favorite thing about Collective Soul is that they always try to do something special for the audience. At this show, they passed out SO many guitar picks to the audience, keeping everyone engaged! I got one before the show even started because the band knows me :) They also handed roses to everyone who walked up front at the end of the show. It was SO SWEET. I've never been handed a rose by a band before, let alone my favorite band! Will, their bassist, handed one to me and said my name! I pressed the rose and framed it along with my ticket, the guitar pick and a few other goodies from the show. They are so incredible. Plus they are the most humble southern gentlemen you will ever meet. I got to talk to Dean, their rhythm guitarist (Ed's brother) for one hour after the show in the casino! They are sooooo super chill, fun and cool guys to hang out with! Granted, they know me, but they are this sweet to everyone. Trust me! They are a band worth seeing and getting to know!

I was blown away by this performance. I would put it in the top three best concerts I've seen. Some bands loose there edge after a few decades. Collective Soul has managed to keep their skills sharp and their energy level high even after many years. Very rarely have I seen a band play as such an amazing cohesive unit. Each musician is clearly a master of their craft and they put it all together to make a great team. Their hits like December can still rock the house and the deeper album tracks are easy to appreciate as well. I would 100% recommend seeing this band play live.

I deal with horrible severe anxiety & depression. Collective Soul helped me overcome my biggest fears. Despite my anxiety, I took this trip to Florida to thank the guys who saved my life in person. I wanted to do something huge for myself & make a dream of mine come true. So I did it. All on my own. & I couldn't be more proud of myself for facing some of my biggest fears. These five guys are the guys who SAVED my life. If it weren't for them, I would be dead right now. As you guys know, Dean is especially special to me. I was there an hour early & I was the only fan there waiting. I saw Dean & Jesse walking down the street. I had a whole conversation in my head discussing whether I should take the chance & go over to them or not. I felt bad intruding on their personal time, but next thing I knew I was slowly walking over to them. I approached & said, "excuse me, I'm sorry to interrupt.. but could I please talk to you guys for a minute? I have VIP but I have a lot to say & probably won't have much time in there..". I was shaking & my voice was cracking, on the verge of tears. I told them that I was incredibly nervous. I told them my entire story. About how I had planned to kill myself last summer & if it weren't for their lifechanging concert, I would not still be here. I told them I live in Maine & traveled all the way to Florida just to see them & thank them. I told them everything. I explained to Dean that I really wanted a Collective Soul lyric in his handwriting. Dean asked me what lyrics & I told him. He smiled & he promised he would do it during VIP. I said "I know they don't allow autographs & stuff.." & Dean said "It's not a problem at all. We will do it!". I got two hugs from Jesse & Dean gave me too many hugs to count. I wrote Dean a long letter that I gave him during our chat pre-VIP & he read it before VIP. Before I walked back to the theatre, I got pictures with them. I got photos with both of them together, & photos of me with Dean & me & Jesse. Shoutout to Chris Thompson for being awesome & taking the pictures! When I got to VIP, I noticed Dean talk to the guy who runs their VIP & he pointed at me. They were all incredibly sweet & Dean & Jesse were so happy to see me. Jesse said "Hey, Destinee.. it's been a while!!" 😂 I introduced myself to Will, Johnny, & Ed & got hugs from them all (& more hugs from D & Jesse). I told them I traveled from Maine & they thought that was incredible. I asked them if they could sign my journal & Ed said "of course!!!", then they all signed the first page of my "Shine" journal (Will wrote "Collective Soul" & drew the spiraled arrow in the middle & Dean wrote "C Soul" below his signature), then it was Dean's turn to write my lyrics. The first word of the lyrics I wanted is "you're". Jesse turned to Dean & said, "YOU'RE.. YOU ARE!!!" & Dean was like "I know, I know!!!" lol. Then Dean turned to Ed & said "Destinee is having ME write lyrics YOU wrote!!" & smirked & laughed. It was hilarious. So, he started writing & wrote "You're all" & said "I MESSED IT UP ALREADY. I wrote it too big!".. it was too cute. Then I replied "I'm a lefty too, I get it" & he laughed & said "RIGHT?! It's a struggle!". So he turned to page 3 in my journal & wrote the lyrics out. We took our group picture. I stood between Dean & Ed. Before I left, Dean hugged me in a full 2 armed embrace, kissed my forehead, & said "I love you! Keep your head up & I'll see you in New Hampshire!". It was the best, most meaningful thing anybody has ever said to me. Those are the words & this is the moment I will think of on my roughest days. Meeting Dean, Jesse, Will, Ed, & Johnny meant absolutely everything to me. This band is my entire world.. they changed everything for me. Dean is my entire universe.. I would not be here without him. I can't wait to see & meet my favorite guys again on June 8th! ❤ Thank you all for everything & for being so down to earth & humble. Can't wait to see them again on June 8th in New Hampshire!! 🤗

Another amazing show by Collective Soul. The venue was perfect, and the band was on fire. Ed's interactions with the crowd were excellent and he made 2 young kids night when he posed in the background for a few pictures while singing. For the last show of the tour, they still had a lot of energy, but you could tell they were looking forward to the break. There were moments when you could see the person, and not the rockstar, which made some of the songs more poignant and meaningful.
The opening band, The Stir, had so much energy, I thought they were going to fall off the stage. They were all over the place, but musically, they we're tight, with a good mix of guitars, bass, and drums. They have a good future.
This show was well worth the extra wait, and I look forward to seeing Collective Soul when they come back.
