Aldous Harding

I was really excited for this concert, but the overall experience was a bit mid. The music sounded great and the band played really well, but the performers were completely backlit the whole time. Since there wasn't any front lighting, we just stared at silhouettes all night without ever actually seeing their faces. I'm talking from the beginning to the very end. This was definitely a choice by the artist and not the venue. Aldous played some great tracks that really moved the crowd. But a large part of the set list was niche songs that didn't get much reaction from me or the crowd. And she didn't play her two biggest hits that everyone obviously really wanted to hear. I'm glad I got to hear her live, but I think I'm fully satiated for her shows now.

Absolutely captivating. The quietest audience I ever witnessed. You can hear a pin drop waiting to hear what song was next.

I imagine it’s like seeing Bowie for the first time! Her otherworldlyness is overwhelming. Excellent.

Great venue and great concert. Aldous Harding is unique in her stage presence and her voice is exquisite. She has a way of drawing the audience in, without much verbal communication. Those fortunate enough to see her were taken on a beautiful journey with her show. As far as the venue is concerned, there was plenty of good food around close by. Most dinner venues required booking, but some also were walk in. We ate at The George, which was a busy but quick service pub around the corner. Would I see Aldous Harding again -yes Would I go to the City Recital Hall again - yes Would I eat at The George again - yes

Aldous was great but the venue was absolutely terrible for her style of performance and singing: seating, stage height, visibility were all pretty bad, as the audience shouted. The opener was pretty dreadful and just of a completely different genre of music.

Tutto imperniato sulla figura di Aldous, con alcuni brani solo voce e chitarra/piano, anche se sul palco con altri 4 elementi, tra cui il compagno H.Hawkline...Locomotiv Club a Bologna si è rivelato location perfetta per apprezzare la teatralità e le doti canore dell’artista, viste le dimensioni e l’atmosfera “intima” degli spazi, con la possibilità di avvicinarsi al palco...Unico rammarico non aver ascoltato ‘Horizon’ tra le canzoni in scaletta...

Tout en douceur et mélancolie,très joli set. Un poil froid car il y a eu assez peu d'échanges avec l'artiste entre les titres.
