Roger Waters

Roger was in great form obviously enjoying his final arena show in London after a long and wonderful career. The show was technically awesome and flawless. Roger was warm and intimate at times with his impromptu conversation with the audience. When someone shouted 'We love you Roger' he replied 'I love you too that's why I'm here. I'll remember this as one of the best shows ever and I've seen loads since of big acts since the Stones in 1964. Thanks Roger for all these years of music and political insight. I bloody loved it, it was remarkable, despite waiting till 20:15 since I went into the OVO at 18:30, thinking it would start right away, it was f***king amazing, I even got some cool merchandise at the end, it was absolutely brilliant and amazing. His performance of in the flesh, wish you were here, us and them, eclipse and sheep was the best bit of the concert in my opinion. Sadly didn’t go for the second day, wish I did.

I went to this with my Cousin & Uncle.. I've seen Roger Waters about 4 times before, together with my dad. Roger was my dads favorite artist and I am sure he would have loved this concert as well.. I am glad that I went because to me it was a reminder of all the great times I got to have with my dad.

It’s not a drill and it would have been something to regret not being there with a man that gave all for rock. Aside all that has been written, I can say that The Powers that be has been performed in a hard rock way really kicking ass. It was a real politic show, but although something was clearly missing, it’s to appreciate his bravery. I think that there is more to say and not everyone was called in the narrative, but we have to take example from his call. And hopefully it won’t be the last.

Mítin embebido en concierto de Rock. Ayer acudí al concierto de Roger Waters en Madrid. Tengo que decir que la música de Pink Floyd y en particular la de Roger, me apasiona. Me gusta como compone, interpreta y como vocaliza. El concierto fue un despliegue tecnológico sin precedentes. Una auténtica pasada. Nunca había ido a un concierto con tal nivel de calidad de sonido, es lo que más me impactó. Quizás en ocasiones demasiado orgánico, pues dudabas si se trataba de una grabación. Había altavoces por todas partes y el escenario central con su pantalla en forma de cruz fue un acierto. El repertorio también me gustó pues representó temas de casi todos los álbumes míticos de Pink Floyd de forma cronológica, e intercalando algunos de sus temas en solitario. Ahora bien, lo que no me gustó nada fue la excesiva propaganda política en todas sus canciones, superponiendo titulares en las pantallas en defensa de todo tipo de causas, la palestina, los yemenís, los indios de la reserva de nosedonde, los derechos humanos, y un larguísimo etcétera que en mi humilde opinión (que puede estar equivocada) me parece fuera del contexto de un concierto de rock. Hemos ido a ver una leyenda del rock y considero que está bien defender determinada causa ya sea o no polícita en un determinado momento. Puedes interpretar una canción en la que muestras tus reivindicaciones pero, madre de Dios, si es que no dejó títere con cabeza. Resulta que todos los presidentes norteamericanos desde Ronald Reagan hasta Biden son CRIMINALES DE GUERRA. Así lo proclamó con foto, nombre y apellidos uno tras otro. Pero mira por donde se olvidó de Putin. Se te ve el plumerillo amigo Roger. Bien es verdad que al principio del concierto lo avisó, diciendo que aquellos que habían ido al concierto porque les gusta la música de Pink Floyd pero no les gustan los discurso políticos, que se jodieran y se fueran al bar. A ver Rogelín, no me voy a marchar después de haberte pagado 90 pavos por la entrada. ¿no podrías haberlo avisado al comprarla? claro es que entonces no te aseguras el lleno del recinto, cachondín. Además no me parece la forma más decorosa de recibir a tu público. Un poco ordinario, pero te lo perdonaremos ya que estás un poco yayo y bastante haces, la verdad. No quiero que este último alegato emborrone lo que fue un espectáculo histórico que disfruté a tope en su conjunto. Solo tómatelo querido como una crítica constructiva, aunque según anuncias, esta ya es tu despedida y según eso no tendremos más ocasiones de verte en escena.

The video production was unreal, but ultimately distracting. I've seen two other Roger water shows, 2017 us + them and 2007 Dark side and the video production much better complimented the music in both of those shows. Musical arrangement was also a little puzzling at times that I feel tried to be interesting but ultimately failed. It seems like Roger tried to do some different things with the show to spice up the music he's been playing for the last 60 years, but as a fan I don't think it totally works.

Incredible production. Waters doesn't do concerts; he does state of the art, audio-visual productions. A great choice of material that displayed his master songswriting on full - it still blows my mind that he and the band were in their 20s when they released Dark Side - so mature. His latter day songs, Deja Vu and Is This the Life We Really Want show that Waters has lost nothing in song or performance. Waters always surrounds himself with the best musicians; Dave Kilminster is a guitar hero of the highest order!

It was pretty amazing. He tends to get a little up his own ass with politics which is weird when you're on a gram of mushrooms and he took jabs at everyone but his own imperialistic country, but its somewhat brief. The rest was great though. Fun night and I'll definitely go again if he comes back.

One of the best shows I’ve ever seen and that’s saying a lot since I’ve been to hundreds of shows over the years! It’s very political, but that’s just one of the many things I loved about it… I saw Roger Waters 5 years ago in Budapest and this show blew that one out of the water, no pun intended… he is still as awesome as ever!

Amazing show…the sound was so clean and the show was touching at times, exciting at others. so much beauty followed by too much visceral pain. Money and Us and Them sounded a bit worn out. As always, Roger Waters presents a stellar show that was worth the 2 1/2 year wait . Sadly, I left a bit early because I was getting bummed and bored.

Music was great stage show performance phenomenal and for all the people that complain about his politics you do realize that Pink Floyd music has always been antiestablishment. He never once brought up any particular party and basically dropped a bunch of truth bombs. I guess the people who bitch about that just can’t handle the truth.

Ah ... Roger Waters ... still no filter, still battling for the sanity of humanity, still f-bombing. Oh, the pig. Protest ... dystopia ... violence ... what really has changed since 70's. Message = We are still being controlled. Today, multi-generational fans love Roger and Pink Floyd. The show was brilliantly executed. The sold out crowd cheered his 3 hour set and at the end brought him to tears. Yes, Roger. We love you. We love your message.

El show alucinante, de primer nivel, el sonido increíble, ...los temas del disco nuevo como el forro, ....lo mejor para mi global, show y sonido, Animals y Dark Side of the Moon, ...las gemas del concierto Welcome to the Machine (ahí acabé) y The Gunner’s Dream (Final Cut), ...me sigo quedando con el 2do., ...esté lo pondría en tercer lugar..., Dave Kilmister veinticinco patas en la raja al otro guitarrista, no es David Gilmour pero limpio pá tocar a cagar, ....la competencia más dura para Waters es el mismo, demasiado alta la vara...

Roger como siempre nunca decepciona. El show que construye en torno a su presentación musical es digno de presenciar en vivo. Secuencias de imágenes muy bien logradas, juegos de luces que hasta recrean la tapa de The Dark Side of the Moon y la inconfundible Battersea Station con su cerdo volador que se eleva para la segunda mitad del show. Todo esto acompañado por semejante banda de sonido que ni hace falta resaltar la importancia que sus canciones tienen. Los músicos que acompañan A Roger están a su nivel: excepcionales. El sonido (incluyendo los efectos) estuvo muy bien logrado. Mención aparte para el estadio. Cada vez que voy me convenzo más de su potencial desperdiciado: instalaciones muy sucias dan una idea del (no) mantenimiento que tiene, a pesar de recibir (y recaudar grandes sumas de) artistas internacionales.

As a spectacle, it was great. Lights, loud noises, balloons, the usual BUT... His constant social critics are weird and full of contradictions. First, he tells us to resist Zuckerberg and, subsequently, Facebook. But guess what? He has a Facebook page, and it's a verified one... Also, his criticism against Jair Bolsonaro would be ok if he would also criticise Lula, who would marvelously fit as a greedy pig, due to the high quantity of money he stole from every single Brazilian citizen. Come on, Brazil is split into two different concepts and both are full of flaws. If you decide to criticise about one of them, you basically need to criticise the other if you don't want to be seen as a hypocrite. Please.

officially the best concert I have ever seen in my life. And I saw more than 130 concerts so far. This one, for the quality of the sound, the performance, the music, and the spectacular exhibition and games of lights and balloons and creativity and...well, let's say that I'm still not able to sleep since the excitement. Thanks Mr Waters. Thanks deeply from my heart!

Je le carré or qui gâche la fête, une concert comme ça se vit debout et dans l'ambiance comme à l'époque où il n'y avait aucune barrière, où le 1er arrivé était le mieux placé... Triste réalité que tjr faire plus de fric et tjr le meilleur à ceux qui on de l'argent...

30 years ago U2 reigned supreme when I saw the Joshua Tree tour and Pink Floyd's A Momentary Lapse of Reason tour during the same week. Fast forward 30 years and this I saw U2 do their Joshua Tree 30 year anniversary tour twice and Roger Waters Us & Them. Not only did he have a better year than last time around, I can honestly say that this is probably the best show I've ever been to. The music, the production and even more important the message resonated to a capacity audience of approximately 20,000. The way the set list was composed, the crescendo of set list and accompanying videos gave the audience all it could handle. I saw young and old people alike in awe of Roger Waters performance. This is one for the history books. Send me the Blu-Ray NOW!!!

Best concert I have ever seen! of course Pink Floyd is one of my all-time favorites so that could be easily figured out. the Acoustics were Sensational and Rodger setlist blew everyone away. the visual choreography and light show was out of this world I've never seen anything like it. if you haven't seen this tour I'd recommend you go out and get your ticket today
