Freeman & Farrelly: Manchester ... A city of great musical history in the house and dance music scene. With legendary movements from clubs such as the Hacienda, Sankeys and The Warehouse Project and a list as long as your arm of talents rising from this urban and cosmopolitan city, it becomes not so surprising that two young boys developed a thirst for all things house and techno. Coming of age both Peter Freeman & Jamie Farrelly were involved in music. Jamie learning to spin vinyl records at an incredibly young age on an old pair of Technic 1210's passed down in the family from his uncle who was a hard house DJ, and Peter studying music technology and production and eventually entering the DJ underworld at the age of 17, his first solo set was at the legendary Manchester nightclub Sankeys. The pair met at a party where Jamie was DJing and Peter approached him after his set as he was impressed by his taste in music and invited him to play back2back the following week at Sankeys, it was from here the friendship grew and the pair formed Freeman & Farrelly. Both Peter and Jamie had an electronic taste for sound and started to delve deeper into the art-form of house and techno and widening their horizons to the music and its scene. Realising that Manchester had huge potential for the pair to make a name for themselves, they then set out to become a key part of the movement meeting other DJ's and producers from all over the globe. Before long reputable club promoters began to contact the pair recognising the lads energy and know how to bring a party, forward thinking taste and professionalism. The pair had started a following. Freeman & Farrelly have since been booked by some of the biggest house & techno events in the UK and Europe, even playing at Ibiza's legendary Space Terrace in 2011 amongst some of the best international names in the industry. Remixing and Producing music the duo continue to sign tracks and full EP's on some of the hottest underground labels for example Ibiza Legend Steve Lawlers VIVa Music and many more. Sticking to what they know best, the pair class themselves as old skool spinning DJs' using multiple Vinyl or CD decks back to back delivering a high energy performance with huge character is sure to be an experience. Their ability to read a crowd and captivate sets them apart from many in the industry and makes the duo who they are. Freeman & Farrelly have played amongst some of the biggest names such as Marco Carola, LocoDice, Ricardo Villalobos, Jamie Jones, Richie Ahmed, Martin Buttrich, Dubfire, Luciano, Darius Syrossian, DJ Sneak, Joseph Capriati, Reboot, Mendo, Cesar Merveille, Huxley, Darius Syrossian, Kink, Martinez, Chris Carrier, Max Chapman, Ten Walls, Nathan Barato, Marc Antona, Richie Hawtin, Matador, Waff, Cera Alba, Teifschwartz, Martinez Brothers, Tania Vulcano, Lazarus, Rio Padice, Ray Okpara, DJ Wild, Fosky, Yaya, Jordan Peak and Subb-An... the list goes on. The duo have played for events such as their closely tied residencies at Octave, MVSON & Livewire.
