About JingerKroa
Vocals Bio: J.Goth Born and raised in Palmerton Pennsylvania, J.Goth grew up in a family that was dedicated to every aspect of music. Singing in the church choir alongside his father and grandparents since he was a boy, music to him was as natural as breathing – an accepted and necessary fact of life. A natural born singer, he began vocal training at the age of eleven, studying at The Studio in Jim Thorp, PA. His unique and distinctive voice caught the attention of music directors both in school and in the community, and he went on to perform in several school concerts and local musical theater productions. He joined his first band at the age of fifteen, eventually going on to form JingerKroa with drummer Mike in 2012. His singing style is instantly recognizable, and he brings a diverse and unique approach to all of his creative work. He knows how to connect with an audience on a deep, personal level, delivering resonant and genuine lyrical messages that shine with his passion for life. Citing diverse influences that range from Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Elton John and Whitney Houston, he is also inspired by bands like Rascal Flatts, Maroon 5, Korn and Cannibal Corpse. His motto is “the sky is never the limit” – and with that iron clad philosophy, he goes forward knowing that his place in the musical firmament is assured. Drummer Bio: Mikestro Mikestro started playing drums when he was just nine years old. An instant natural behind the kit, he instantly recognized it as his true calling, and never looked back. His talent was both encouraged and indulged by his parents, who bought him his first kit for his twelfth birthday. Since then, he’s been on a mission to be the best drummer he could possibly be, putting every ounce of his heart and soul into his craft. A grade school performance he gave of Ritchie Valens’ La Bamba brought him a standing ovation, and it was at that moment he knew that his life’s purpose was to play drums, make music and inspire audiences through live performance. Going on to play in several bands over the years, Mike has had the opportunity to play on stages both large and small, and has opened up for several national acts. His passion for creating original music led him to form JingerKroa with singer J.Goth in 2012, and since then they have been plotting world domination with reckless abandon. It’s his passion, his mission and his life blood, the music pumping through him with every beat of the drum. Guitarist Bio: UnklNicky As a child, Unkl Nicky would sit spellbound while listening to his dad and uncle play guitar together, intrigued as they seemed to fall into a trance while simply jamming on a three chord riff. He saw how music transported one to an inner place where the hardships and struggles of life in the ghetto could evaporate into euphoric oblivion. Ever since those days, he has seen the guitar as a comforting withdrawal from the emotional noise and drama that seems to accompany "civilized" society. At the age of fifteen, his father gave him his first guitar, and early on, he spent most of his time writing tunes, while showing little interest in learning other people's music. Unkl Nicky spent about a decade with the experimental Goth-Rock band Screwtape’s Roast, who toured the tri-state area aggressively during the mid 1990’s. Their debut album, Curses and Blessings, was released in 1999. He later went on to form Heretics with Hangovers, digging deep into heavier and groovier instrumentals, sprinkled with a pinch of the avant-garde. When the project ended, he decided to take a different approach altogether playing his classical and acoustic guitars in a project he called Nerves of Silk. When that project ended a long hiatus followed. As time went on music became less of a priority, that is, until JingerKroa drummer, Mike Miller contacted Unkl Nicky and rekindled the excitement he needed to get him back on his feet. Digging the fresh positive energy of Mike and J.Goth, he joined the band. Unkl Nicky is also a recording engineer and producer, working from his own studio which provides an outlet for both his original work and that which he collaborates on with others. Influenced by such notable guitar greats as Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa and Dr. Know (Bad Brains), he also enjoys listening to bands like Opeth, The Plasmatics, Genitorturers, Candlemass, Souls at Zero, Depeche Mode, Pantera, Annihilator, Tool, Stolen Babies, Prong, and Rammstein. Bio Bassist: HillBilly Born and raised in Kentucky, HillBilly discovered his passion for playing music at an early age. He slapped his first bass at the young age of 11 along with friend Mike who played on drums. He was strongly influenced by Stevie Ray Vaughn which triggered his passion to create music while Cliff Burton sparked an inner desire to pick up the bass. Once on the bass, HillBilly was right at home and there was no stopping him. Motivated by his deep southern upbringing, he focused on music from the greats such as Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Bill Monroe and Ricky Skaggs. His musical journey lead him to form a garage band at the age of 13 with Mike. The duo along with other band members performed on stages such as The Legendary Dobbs, Croc Rock, Mojo 13, Reverb, Maingate and various places up and down the east coast from Pennsylvania to Florida. Being one of the original creators of JingerKroa, he was a stepping stone to the bands success, and the creator of the band name, JingerKroa. After sometime, he felt the absence of this home state and decided to head back to Kentucky reconnecting with his roots. Despite being back home, three years later, his longing for music and passion to play his bass has brought him back to Pennsylvania to re- join JingerKroa. He's back with a vengeance, ready to kill it on bass and perform to all the fans. Unique Rock Band on a mission, creating a distinct sound, powerful lyrics, strong beats, and non-stop hooking riffs. A heart pounding, unforgettable ride.
