Rocca & Martini

Rocca (Justin da Rocha) & Martini (Keegan Martens) were born and raised in Johannesburg South Africa. The music bug had bitten them as they reached the beginning stage of their teenage years, a passion ignited Inside them and they fell in love with the art of DJíng. To experience and enjoy this love for djing and music Justin & Keegan both took basic DJ lessons given by friends and mentors starting on 12" vinyls, working up through to CDJ's. Rocca & Martini were solo up and coming acts gigging every now and then, until they met through mutual friends. With separate music tastes and backgrounds when they started djing together something new and different formed. After deciding to start this duo thing and stick it through they came up with the name Rocca & Martini (as known today). Keegan was quoted saying “I think we have made the right decision by forming together to create this duo as we have brought each of our individual knowledge, ideas and character to combine into one huge performance to give our fans double the music, double the show and double the euphoria." When asked what to expect at their gigs, Rocca & Martini simply say "It’s all about the experience we put on for our fans and the high energy we create with the biggest electronic dance music tracks of today along with some compositions of our own leaving everyone on the dancefloor or even in their own personal space satisfied and moving" Early in 2012 the Rocca & Martini Brand really started moving up the popularity ladder and as the year went on they landed sponsorships with Skull Candy, a local apparel called JuiceBOX (SA) as well as a sneaker sponsorship from Feiyue. This was just the beginning of their rise as they went on to place second in the 5FM's ultimix at 6 DJ competition and place in the top 3 for a Nescafe sponsored Toya Delazy Remix competition. Currently Rocca and Martini are on the line up for most the major music festivals in South Africa and are constantly gigging at the hottest clubs in the country. With age, determination, ability to adapt and knowledge on their side the future looks very bright for these two boys. Rocca & Martini are well established house DJ's and producers from Johannesburg South Africa with multiple releases locally and internationally
