PRESS

"Musertava ja sähköinen äänimaailma. Se summaa hyvin miltä italialaisen metallijyrän Subliminal Fearin kolmas albumi kuulostaa. ”Escape From Leviathan” on melodista death metallia, josta pilkahtalee myös sinfoniallisia sekä elektronisia piirteitä. Albumin kuvaus kuulostaa sekamelskalta, mutta kun levyä syventyy kuuntelemaan, huomaa kuinka hyvässä tasapainossa kokonaisuus on. Yhtye mainostaa musiikkinsa sopivan Mnemicin, Fear Factoryn ja Sybreedin kuuntelijoille. Jos myös Scar Of The Sun tai Dead End Finland ovat mieleesi, saatat löytää Subliminal Fearista uuden kiinnostuksen kohteen." [9/10 Kaaoszine]

Subliminal Fear represent in absolute value the modern metal music tension. It could be more brutal but it could be even lighter as well and thinking on this, these italians show an admireable effort of “anti-trendism”, they are hard sounded enough to consider them non-metal. On the other side, in their music you can find lots of elements dominated mainstream, corresponding mostly to young audience. [Rockway.gr]

"Escape From Leviathan is a journey through a dystopic futuristic society where pretentious culture fascists have imposed their utopian ideals of peace to control a confused and meandering public. Subliminal Fear sow the seeds of dissidence to usurp this tyrannical regime, but will we heed to the prophets of a different world. When I say no, you say ‘survival.’" [Soundscape Magazine]

"For the melodic death metal enthusiast, Subliminal Fear deliver all of the goods with Escape from Leviathan. It’s full of hooky riffs and soaring choruses but keeps a harder edge to accompany some electronic and industrial influences, which places it in less of a crowded space than like-minded bands. What’s not to like?" [Dead Rhetoric.com]

[2015] The wait is over… We Return
After 2 years working in studio, the third album is finally ready and it shows several innovations about musical style with a greater attention to melodies and with a modern sound. The early sound has evolved in a “cyber metal” with death and also melodic vocals, djent guitars, a huge groove and with electronic and industrial influences.
New album is produced, mixed and mastered by Giuseppe Dentamaro in Golem Dungeon Studios and co-produced by Botys Beezart for arrangements of keyboards, samples and programming. Furthermore the album will include also the featuring of international guests: Guillaume Bideau (Mnemic, One-Way Mirror), Jon Howard (Threat Signal, Arkea) and Lawrence Mackrory (Darkane).
Album's artwork is been realized by Anton Seth Siro.

[2013] The Rebirth Year in a Hi-Tech new Skin
Subliminal Fear's original members decided to back together and to work again with the same moniker but with a new musical project.

[2012]- The second Album and Line-up changes
After some hard years for personal problems and many line-up changes, the band began to develop ideas for the next album without leaving the live activity and after some months Subliminal Fear entered in DB Studio to record their second full-length "One More Breath" and they signed an agreement with the Italian label SG Records for the release of their forthcoming album scheduled for June 2012.
"One More Breath" is the second full-length and was mastered in Turin by Ettore Rigotti (Disarmonia Mundi), the artwork was done by Raffo Lattanzio of Mental Drink Studios.
SUBLIMINAL FEAR shared the stage with:
TESTAMENT, DARK FUNERAL, SADIST, EKTOMORF, DGM, HIGHLORD, NECRODEATH, THE DOGMA, RAIN & many more.

[2007] The debut "Uncoloured World Dying"
After an intense and accurate process of songwriting, and pre-production in detail, the Band entered 16th Cellar Studios in Rome with producer Stefano Morabito (Hour of Penance, Eyeconoclast, Enemynside, Theater of the Vampires, Necrotorture) to record their debut album “Uncolored World Dying” between Febbrary and March in 2007. The Artwork has been realized by Davide Nadalin from Nerve Design (Nile, Extrema, Threshold, The Duskfall, Blinded Colony).
The new album "Uncoloured World Dying” gets a good response from metalheads and received many positive reviews from Italian and European magazines.

[2006] Label’s deal and main Festivals
Thank to good reviews in the mags and webzines, the band reaches the interest of Greek label Burning Star Records and so, in early months of this year, Subliminal Fear signed an agreement for their debut album.
In September and in the next monts, Subliminal Fear played at Total Metal Festival in Noicattaro (BA), a great festival in south Italy and in other main clubs in Puglia.

[2004] First Songs and Shows
The band find the complete stability recording the first demo in November 2004 at the Nicola Lonigro’s Half Moon Studios (Bari) that allows to take part in some local gigs getting a good response from metalheads.

[2002] The early years
The project SUBLIMINAL FEAR started with five young guys that wanted to play melodic swedish death metal, based on melodies, speed and an aggressive sound like the best bands in the scene like In Flames, Soilwork and Dark Tranquillity.
