Hook N Krooks

Hook N Krooks began in the midst of cigarette smoke and long, whiskey fused nights in the Winter of 2012. Singer Zack Welch, tattoo artist Kurt Heise and guitar picker Chris Tillman joined together to make a broken down country music three-piece which started as the name "Zakk Gallows and the Hillbilly Henchmen". Close friend and aspiring drummer Billy Fogarty joined the three to end up making one of the most raw and eclectic southern sounds that hasn't been heard of in the Detroit area in many years. After playing many local shows, the band changed the name to "Hook N Krooks." Billy soon switched to Banjo pickin', and the band picked up best friend and professional drummer, Mike McCormick. Chris Tillman left that band soon after to pursue work outside of Chicago, Illinois. Currently the band stands as a five-piece, now including the talented harpist, Aaron Balmes. The dark riveting sounds of damnation and haunt stain the pure country sound that was originally the "Hook N Krooks". ALBUM OUT NOW!
