Vitor Rodrigues

Vitor Rodrigues was born in São Paulo, on November 29, 1971. Son of father from Para and mother from Bahia, Vitor Rodrigues has in his veins the power of black and Indian. His first contact with music was due to his father, Vitor Rodrigues da Silva, who brought home various vinyl records of valsa, chorinhos, samba, jazz, foreign music and other styles. In high school meets Marcelo Leandro, who plays guitar, and together they begin to compose some blues. They started the band Reasons To Heaven at the end of 1987. The band goes through several formations and in late 1991 ends the activities. The only record is a demo tape titled Damned Viper. In 1992, he was invited by Amilcar Christófaro to join the band Torture Squad. With Cristiano Fusco Fulvio Pelli on guitars and Castor on bass, the band begins rehearsals. Due to the influence of his father and discs from bands like Metallica, Sepultura, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, King Diamond, among others, the style of Victor begins to be shaped. From 1992 until 2011, he recorded with Torture Squad six studio albums, one live album, a DVD and a single. Among the highlights stand out in the competition to win the prestigious Wacken Metal Battle Wacken Open Air festival in 2007, and extensive international tours covering concerts and festival appearances in more than 30 countries in Europe and Latin America. Appeared in the most renowned Brazilian festivals like Porão do Rock and Abril Pro Rock, and performed hundreds of shows throughout the country. In 2012, Vitor Rodrigues leaves Torture Squad. Today Vitor Rodrigues is the singer of Voodoopriest.
