Le groupe Lessen accueille en son sein des membres issus de différents styles de metal moderne avec un engouement commun pour le Post par son côté ambiant et progressif.

Lessen a sorti un premier EP auto-produit de 5 titres "Dazzling Ashes" le 8 Février 2013, salué notamment par Metalorgie qui lui a fait une belle place dans la catégorie "Découverte".

La formation défendra ses compositions sur scène le restant de l'année dans toute la moitié sud du du pays, partageant la scène avec des acteurs majeurs de l'hexagone comme Hypno5e, Klone ou Regarde Les Hommes Tomber...

Lessen sort son premier album le 26 Avril 2014 sur le label Send The Wood Music avec une distribution en bacs assurée par Season Of Mist avant d'entamer une tournée nationale.
Après plus de 50 dates à travers le pays, le groupe entre en studio au printemps 2016 et sort son nouvel opus à la rentrée pour le défendre en live désormais au delà des frontières dans des salles de plus en plus grandes, en tête d'affiche comme auprès de pointures comme Dagoba, Betraying The Martyrs, Jinjer ou Toundra...

Lessen was born in late 2012 as a musical project mixing modern metal influences with a post rock / post hardcore touch, leading to ambiant and progressive parts influenced by bands like Cult Of Luna, Envy, The Ocean or Devil Sold His Soul…

The band released a self-produced debut EP of 5 tracks called "Dazzling Ashes" on February, 2013, which quickly had very good reviews from french webzines then first shows came in front of a subdued audience.
They performed on stage the rest of the year over the southern half of the country while working on a first signed full length album scheduled on April, 2014.

A headliner tour followed all over France and then after more than 50 shows across the country, Lessen went back in studio to record a second LP, still signed by independent label & distributed by Season Of Mist which came out on September, 2016.
Just before hitting stage with their brand new album, former singer Lambert Paris left the band but only a few weeks after, Arthur Rohou became the new frontman with the hard task to sing along the new tour with all these tracks played for the very first time.

Lessen made dozen of shows during almost 2 years, in France and neighboring countries as a headliner or supporting bands like Betraying The Martyrs, Dagoba, Hypno5e, Jinjer, Regarde Les Hommes Tomber, or ever Toundra.
At the same time, former drummer Audrey Gardenat left the band, replaced by Aloïs Jampy then both lead and rhythm guitarists were substituted.

Currently working on their third LP, Lessen has the power to breathe new life into its post metal music through new composers and is already hitting the stage with brand new tracks as a foretaste of the future…
