Old 97's

Holy cow! What a show! The dudes were in top form, and played a well-considered selection from their albums, including the one coming out the next day. Good banter with the full house crowd, and excellent clear sound on the Congress plaza.

They were amazing as usual! I’ve seen the Old 97’s at least a dozen times and they never disappoint. Longhorn Ballroom is an iconic location. Happy 30th year Old 97’s!

Every Old 97’’s show is a great, but they were particularly good and into last night. I can’t imagine anyone ever regretting a trip to see the Old 97’s live.

Old 97’s were in good form, particularly Ken who is amazing. The biggest issue is that the sound at the Rec Room is terrible. I’ve seen the Old 97’s twice at that venue, and the sound was brutal both times. If you’re near the front, you simply cannot hear the vocals with the speakers slightly behind you. Truly terrible setup for concerts. You can either see them or hear them, but you have to choose. Please play a different venue next time you’re in Buffalo! (Or better yet, come back to Rochester.)

Great show as usual from the Old 97s. A few comments about their early days backing Waylon Jennings and how they've been doing this for 30 years simply reminds us we're all getting older, but the '97s are as good as ever and the band (and crowd) were wonderfully energetic. Ardmore Music Hall is a great venue. Love the option to book seats on the raised platform on the main floor. Great site lines from anywhere in the room, but you can't beat a comfy bar stool 20 feet from the stage. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Sound was great, too.

Guys looked great, played great. Better Than ever! They looked so happy. Ken's son lives in SJ and got up and played. Family event! Great vibes. Doesn't get much better than our boys from Texas. Fun, loud, folk music. Rocking!

Always a good time! A lot of deep tracks due to the 30th Anniversary of the band. Appear to still enjoy themselves, and give the fans their moneys worth.

First time seeing them … my husband is the fan I just went along but was so surprised!!!! They’re fabulous & so entertaining plus catching lyrics!!! Rhett Miller is a rockstar !!!!

Band was great. Their booking agent should have gotten them a better room. They are to good for this small of a place. Sound system was limited.

Loud, sweaty & rockin'. A fantastic rock show. If Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers were a punk band, they would be Old 97's. Great Big FUN!

Great show! Both bands came out swinging and absolutely did not let up. I've seen the Old 97s several times now and this was my favorite. They played some of my old favorites that I've rarely heard them do live. And the crowd! The crowd was soooooo into it. Everyone was screaming and singing along. Great vibe. Also, The Madrid Theater is fantastic. An intimate venue with a wonderful staff.

I've seen the 97s 3 times prior to the Wooly's show and they were great. They put on a pretty good show at Wooly's. The sound was fair. I think a different venue would have rated 5 stars.

Although the band brought it as always the crowd was sparse. Some of this lies on Bandsintown because the app always implied tickets would go on sale and never said anything about the show being free. If the app had said the show was free more people might have gone.

As always these guys put on a great show. I liked the solo Rhett performance and the magic show in the middle was a pleasant surprise. They worked in just the right amount of Christmas songs and of course played all the songs that people want to hear. They would need more time to play them all but it was a good set list. The Sinclair is a fantastic place to see a show. The sound is awesome and there's not a bad place to stand.

I was supposed to go to Winston Salem, Durham and Greenville (Charlotte)! Florence wasn't on the schedule but she decided to come to town. Hopefully I can make another show somewhere else this year. We were really looking forward to seeing you guys! Tim

Love this band and it was the first time I've been able to see them live. They were amazing. The venue gave me the feels because it felt like original 930 club out of DC for me. Probably could have used some AC though. The band looked like they were about to pass out.

The Old 97’s were their typical splendid selves. Lord Huron was quite good as well. The rest of the lineup was solid and nicely diverse.

The opening act the vandoliers were great, the Old 97s put on a great show it was a great first concert for me

Great energy and great fun even when Rhett spaced on the lyrics for Champaign, IL and sung the break to Barrier Reef--too funny. Just a great American rock band
