Iodine

IODINE ( /ˈaɪ.ɵdaɪn/ ) is a Metal / Hardcore band that was born in 2006 at Leiria, Portugal. Having as influence bands like Architects, Poison the Well or The Ocean, its sonority is in constant evolution, using as background a mix of chaos and calm, and expressing through the lyrics, masked of stories, the wrong and right of the surrounding world. After releasing their first EP on-line "Prelude To An Unsuitable Metaphor", Iodine released in 2012 "An Abyss at Nightfall" in which they invited us to join a dark world where any of us could be the characters. "An Abyss at Nightfall" was presented a bit for the whole country receiving very good critiques, strengthening the identity of the band in the Portuguese musical scene. In 2014 the band releases "Izabel". This time the world presented in "An Abyss at Nightfall" sets the stage, lots of years later, for a conflict that has both imaginary and real. They've done their second national tour in the first half of the year and are currently looking for more shows. __________________________________________ IODINE ( /ˈaɪ.ɵdaɪn/ ) nasceu em 2006. Tendo como influência bandas como Poison The Well, Deftones, Architects, Cult Of Luna, The Ocean, etc, a sua sonoridade está sempre em constante evolução, utilizando como pano de fundo um misto de caos e calma, e exprimindo através das suas letras, mascaradas de histórias, o certo e o errado no mundo que os rodeia. Depois de colocarem o primeiro EP online, “Prelude To An Unsuitable Metaphor”, os Iodine lançaram em 2012 “An Abyss at Nightfall” com o qual nos convidaram a entrar num mundo negro onde qualquer um de nós poderia ser uma das personagens. “An Abyss at Nightfall” foi apresentado um pouco por todo o país recebendo críticas bastante positivas reforçando a identidade da banda no panorama musical português. Em 2014 os Iodine lançam o seu novo trabalho, "Izabel". Desta vez o mundo apresentado em “An Abyss at Nightfall” serve de cenário, muitos anos depois, para um conflito que tem tanto de imaginário como de real.
