Absolutely killer show.

Venue was small and I think a more popular venue would have brought a bigger crowd (I go to 6-8 shows a yr and had never heard of this place) but the band was fantastic!

Good show, as for the venue, would have liked more seating available and the drinks were outrageously priced. And Blitzkid didn’t play 3 songs that were on their setlist that were my favorites. Gools had to leave so didn’t come out after the show for pics and autographs. So a little disappointing overall after waiting for 2 years of postponement.

I've long hoped to see Horror Punk legends Blitzkid live, but it seemed like I was cursed. Several times I tried to go see them, but I had conflicts, and then they broke up! When they announced they were reforming in 2019, and would tour in 2020, I was ecstatic...and then that damned pandemic happened! With the tour getting postponed a couple times, I had resigned myself to never getting the opportunity to see them at all. Thankfully, that curse was finally lifted on November 9th, 2022! So, with the anticipation of so many years, I wondered if finally seeing them live would measure up to my expectations. I needn't have worried, as they put on an INCREDIBLE show! They were incredibly tight musically, and had high energy throughout. Both Argyle Goolsby and TB Monstrosity were in fine voice, and they played with the assurance of two collaborators who have refined their live act to near-perfection. Apparently, a few days into the tour, they found themselves without a drummer, so they recruited Pentagram touring percussionist Ryan Manning to take over the kit. You'd never know that this guy just learned these songs, as he played them with as much precision and confidence as if he'd been drumming for this band from day one! Just an incredible show, from start to finish! While I've seen many shows at the House of Blues, I'd never been in the "Bronze Peacock Room", and I have to say that I loved the smaller, more intimate setting. The sound was great, and there wasn't a bad spot in the room. Definitely hope to see more acts perform in that space in the future.

Incredible. One of the absolute best performances I've ever seen. So much energy, so much fun. Big shout-out to the drummer who filled in to allow the show to go on! He killed it. Long time fan, first time seeing them live in-person. TB and Argyle put on one hell of a show. Long live the horror !! Much love from chapel hill / carrboro.
