Entheogen

Pred približno štirimi leti sta dva planetoida – en iz stoner rock skupine MG Pistol Rock, drugi iz math/post rock skupine Imakandi – trčila in stalila vse razen kovinskega jedra. Rezultat je Entheogen – homogena mešanica math/sludge-a z elementi post- in stoner rocka in metala. Po letih evolucije in erozije ter gigabajtih organiziranega hrupa se je z lun odluščila zadostna količina materije za prvenec, ki je že skoraj dokončan, luč sveta pa bo zagledal predvidoma do konca leta 2013. Kreativni proces je nastalo trenje pretvoril v energijo za Moons of Jupiter – tematski album, ki se navezuje na misijo STS-34 – raketoplan Galileo (poimenovan po prvem opazovalcu Jupitrovih lun, ki je svoja opažanja zabeležil v Siderius Nuncius že 1610) se je leta 1989 podal na pot od Zemlje proti plinastem orjaku. Glasba predstavlja poskus zvočne ponazoritve misije, kot takšna pa je od stadija do stadija stilsko različna. Poleg omenjene misije nosi album tudi druge skrite sporočilnosti, ki se navezujejo na mitološko ozadje Jupitra, grškega glavnega boga in njegovih priležnic po katerih so tudi lune ter planet dobili ime. Osnova ostaja v instrumentalnem math/sludge-u z vplivom skupin kot so Neurosis, Meshuggah, Pelican, Alice in Chains in drugih. Approximately four years ago two planetoids - one from a stoner rock group called MG Pistol Rock, the other from a math/post rock group called Imakandi - collided and melted all but their metal core. The result is Entheogen - a homogenous mixture of math/sludge with a pinch of post- and stoner rock. After years of evolution, erosion and gigabytes of organized noise enough matter had broken away from the moons to create a debut album, scheduled to see its first sunrise in the second half of 2013. The creative process converted the resulting friction into energy for Moons of Jupiter - a thematic album dedicated to the STS-34 mission - the spacecraft Galileo (named after the first observer of Jupiter's moons, described in his Siderius Nuncius from 1610) that was launched on its path from Earth to the gas giant in 1989. The music represents an attempt of a sonic rendering of the mission and is therefore different from phase to phase. The basis remains instrumental math/sludge with influences from bands like Neurosis, Meshuggah, Pelican, Alice in Chains and the like. Drogačna glasba - www.entheogen.si
