The Cadillac Kings

Firm favourites on the blues, rhythm & blues & swing dance scenes, The Cadillac Kings feature five of the UK's top blues and roots musicians. Inspired by the sounds and styles of ‘40s & ‘50s R&B with a distinctly modern take lyric-wise (courtesy of singer & writer Mike Thomas) the CKs have earned a reputation for wowing their audiences, from intimate clubs to major festivals and from theatres to dance-halls, the length & breadth of the UK & Europe, from the Canary Islands to Svalbard in the arctic. Since their formation in 2001 the band has opened shows for, & shared stages with blues, rock & roots acts such as John Mayall, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Louisiana Red, Sherman Robertson, Little Feat & Delbert McLinton to name but a few! Along the way the band has picked up numerous awards including: *The Times Newspaper’s best blues cd of the year 2004 for ‘Highway 17’ (33WM131) *Real Blues Magazine Canada - best non USA cd 2009 for ‘Trouble in Store’ (33WM145). *Blues & Rhythm Magazine rated their 2012 release “Gonna Tell Your Momma” (33WM147) as one of the best live albums of the year. *The UK Independent DJs association voted their 2016 cd ‘The Secret of My Success’ (33WM153) as one of the top 3 releases of 2016 (with Kaz Hawkins & Joe Bonamassa) This album is currently #5 in the Cashbox USA blues top 40.
