About Eugene Prendi

One of the finest independent eletronic acts around? We will let you decide. In 2008 decides to get on the decks for the first time at a student party. Since then, all he has done is try pushing boundaries. That brought him from recording his friend in the bedroom studio, to premiering his new track at the Amsterdam Dance Event in front of five thousand people, with one of the best DJs in the world. In 2011, after having released his first songs “Feel Free To Love” & “All I’m After” through some small indie labels, he takes his time to think of a way to get the attention of the right guys of the industry. That seemed to work when in 2013, decides to touch the pop side of the industry, remixing only hours after the official release, Jay-Z’s hit single featuring Justin Timberlake “HOLY GRAIL”. The unofficial remix immediately drew the attention of the legendary TIESTO, who ended up playing it everywhere during that summer season, in different festivals and clubs such as TomorrowWorld Atlanta, Electric Zoo NYC, Ziggo Dome Amsterdam ADE , and many more. But that’s wasnt Tiesto’s only favorite work from Eugene’s stuff at that time. In fact, his unofficial remix of Thomas Gold’s single “Remember”, ended up being played three times on his radio show “Club Life”, one of the most famous and listened shows in the world. He learns from that moment, that doing what he really likes and not falling for the trend, is seeming to work best for him. After that, decides to give a second try to original productions, and this time the hard work seems to pay off. In 2016, after performing at a few big festivals in Italy and a small german mini-tour (including a show at the legendary Bootshous), hooks up with german producer and best friend, Juze, for the making of “Ocaso”. “Ocaso” ends up getting signed from HoTL Records, LA-based record-label owned by the legendary spanish DJ & producer, David Tort and Miami based fellow, Markem. The record gets huge support, being played on the radio by names like Tiesto, Kryder, Promise Land, David Tort, Abel Ramos, Albert Neve, Marcus Schossow and many more. Just before the end of that same year, when he thought 2016 was done with him, releases another original track called “Cartagena”. But this time the track is a collaboration with one of the biggest swedish DJs & producers, Marcus Schossow and his NYC-based DJ and producer fellow, Dirtywork. “Cartagena” turns to be a hit, hitting the beatport Top 100 House Chart, doing over 230k plays on Spotify, and ending up being played all over the world doing major radio time spinned by huge DJ acts like Tiesto, Dannic, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Judge Jules, Max Vangeli, Promise Land, Jaz Von D, Boiler, Will K & more. This is exactly what Eugene needed. Having names like Tiesto constantly on his side and getting continuous feedbacks and supports by big other names, decides to take some time to focus even more on sound & style. That’s why in 2017, decides to go solo, designing his own label concept, called MADCAP, putting two tracks on it “Twelfth Night” & “Lights Down Low”, both ending up being played on the radio by Tiesto, confirming that he is one of the Tiesto’s most favorite (as quoting the man), “talented producers”. #Cartagena is OUT NOW - Grab it or stream it here: codered.lnk.to/Cartagena
