Sidewalk Prophets

I happened to be 800 miles from home when I had the honor of seeing Sidewalk Prophets perform at the quaint and eclectic Pella Opera House. It was an absolutely wonderful evening. I’ve been a longtime fan of SP for years, and I had high expectations, but this acoustic evening surpassed it all. David has the voice of an angel and his innate, God-given talents are second to none. His storytelling added to the experience; by the end of the night you felt like he was family. The guitarist/pianist was so talented and was the musician behind the voice. Absolutely incredible evening— tickets could have been twice as much and I’d gladly invest. One of my favorite experiences!

The venue was fabulous! The church was most welcoming! The 1st song Sidewalk Prophets sang was Silent Night, which is my absolute favorite Chtistmas song. They didn't mess with it just came out and sang it! What a beautiful way to start the night! They sang a few of the songs from their albums and then handed out little Debbie Christmas tree cakes! Soon after that , they sang O Holy Night which is my 2nd favorite song of the season. I was crying the whole time! So innocent and pure. I just get so choked up when someone that can REALLY sing does this song without changing or adding to it! They ended the night with Silent Night but there was lots of fun and JOY throughout the night! I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend a Saturday night right before Christmas. It really helped me get in the Spirit which had been a bit slow in coming!! I believe they did this tour last year, but I was not aware of it (until later) but I think they hope to do it again next year...I WILL be there!!!! The event was great! Sky Ranch was beautiful and well-organized. They were prepared for guests and super friendly. Sidewalk Prophets were amazing and took care of their fans as always. They always put on a good show and treat us as family. I miss the after-concert meet and greets they used to do, but I still see them every chance I get.

It was OUTTA SIGHT! It was absolutely fantastic! Dave sounded amazing, and he looked like he was having a blast. Jem is such a great addition. He brings so much energy! It’s so fun. Megan Danielle was great also, and Blake from SWP accompanied to open the show. It was such a special night! Do yourself a favor and check them out if they are anywhere near you. It was a Fabulous Concert!! We loved when he told stories that led him to writing the songs. I would definitely go see them again. I originally knew of them because my pastor at Coastline Community Church (Melbourne FL) used to use his songs in his sermons. Even though only Daniel was singing by himself for the most part, he shined with talent but in great humility. He sang with such passion and purpose but then gave glory to God for it, in his sharing of stories before every song. He sang loud and he sang big because he is so thankful, and you can feel that in the seats of the church. He encouraged us to stand up and worship together, and never gave up when people didn’t join in. He worshipped like he was in his car, like it was just him and God! I was very blessed by this worship time! Thank you for coming to our city!!

I’m never surprised when I see these amazing guys perform live, they always have a great time and they always make sure that the “family” is having an incredible experience! This is more than a concert, it is a family reunion that brings such joy to everyone in the building and that joy spills into the world when you walk out of the building! Can’t wait until the next time I see them! The new forthcoming music is just amazing!

As always, Dave and the guys were great and they made the show a lot of fun. The giveaways were a pleasant surprise including the Little Debbie Christmas tree cakes! 🤣 The performance was amazing, especially O Holy Night and the guitar solos. I would have liked to have heard more of their regular songs but it was a Christmas show after all!

Just went to your concert last night at Madison HS VA.... y'all rocked the concert hall!!!🎉🎉🎉 I sang, laughed & cried more than any other concert attended💕 my heart goes out to the band, roadie's, mgrs, etc. for all the love of Jesus you poured into all who attended. The Holy Spirit filled the bldg🙏🙌🙏🙌🙏🙌 Will never forget the sweet young boy sitting in front of us, he danced to every fast song🥳 Y'all are the best, my prayers go out for your tour to be a beacon of Jesus' light in this dark world we are walking thru... This group delivered an amazing concert that was so personal in its ministry. Their songs are so word oriented and deliver uplifting messages to people from trials that we have all gone, or are going, though. I am so amazed that this group has made the deliberate choice in their lives to make the sacrifice to be able to come to small venues across the nation because it is obvious that they could got for the "big money and fame" instead...and I'm sure that choice must often be challenging for them and the temptation to just take the easy path is always there. Thank you, Sidewalk Prophets, for your commitment to minister to God's people...

Singer Dave Frey and musicians Dan and Cal did an amazing job. Using "looping," they created both a lot of good sound and fun even though there were just three members of the band. The church was accommodating, and people were friendly. It was great that they made it affordable by keeping ticket prices within most people's reach. I would encourage anyone - Christian and non-Christian - to see this band in person if you ever have the chance. Great show! Bravo!

Sidewalk Prophets, Santus Real and Dave Hinrick were fantastic. It was our first experience at this facility. Parking is non-existent! Unless it is in the fall or winter, we can not see driving 1.5 hours to this facility to see anyone! Trying to find a parking spot over 1 hour before the event started was very stressful!

I've been wanting to see these guys for years and finally the stars aligned to make it possible. Came early for great seats and the devotional. What a blessing! No surprise that the music selection was great and that they had us on our feet. I knew that "Smile" would be the last song they played and they didn't disappoint. Great night in a small but quaint venue. Would definitely recommend and of course do it again.

Great show despite a small turn out. I’ve seen Sidewalk LIVE before, why was the crowd so small, they are fabulous, I fear it was the venue promo. Nevertheless, we had a super inspirational event with a great preshow devotional. I even got to ask Dave my classic question in the Q&A! I will see them next time they come around, it never gets old!

There were numerous good memories at this awesome concert!! From the vip meeting before the show, learning Hey Moon was one of Dave's favorite songs-it was the first swp songs we remember hearing, and also playing the game and helping Cal and Dave come from behind for the win! From the concert we were front row middle! Hearing Dave's best buy skit and watching the other guys faces when he reated their role was entertaining and fun. High note solo in Hey Jude brought down the house. The message of hope and love they shared with us. As a musician, I loved the variety of different instruments they played! I think this was our 5th or 6th concert of swp and we have another next week! VIP is the way to go!

Excellent show! Really enjoyed hearing Dave speak and learning more of his true passion for Christ and the bands mission. Got to hang for a bit after the show with Cal, Blake and Daniel also, and their [sister, lol] Jamie. Thanks for coming to our small Tri-Cities area which truly is Gods country. It wasn’t just the awesome music or lights or the best guitar player ever, it was the strong presence of God that I felt just flood over me when they sang “you Loves Me Anyway, and Comee to the table” also “ Impossible” I could just feel that God was using them to touch hearts and lives . Praise Jesus love you SWP Family
