HellBat

HellBat! was started by Vince Meghrouni to utilize aspects of combining the punk rock urgency and creativity of The Minutemen, Fear, Black Flag and The Dead Kennedy's, improvisational aspects of groups such as The Cream and Jimi Hendrix and elements of prog dynasties King Crimson and Gentle Giant. The group contains members with jazz, punk and hard rock bona fides that share the need for unbridled rock with no few pesky stylistic dogmas and precious little preciousness. And that grooves like a greased up Malibu Supersport on mountain roads runnin' moonshine with The Meters blasting on the 8-track. He has recorded or performed with: The Moscow Symphony Orchestra, The Glenn Branca Sym #13 @ Disney Hall, Atomic Sherpas, Bill Barrett, Mad Lion, Big Jay McNeely, No Doubt, Mad Lion and Bo Diddley, among many others.
