About Birds of Wales

“I’ve always had a thing for birds. I grew up with a cockatoo,” recalls Morgan Ross, the young, charismatic Birds of Wales singer/songwriter, who is of Welsh descent. Originally a solo act from Vancouver, Morgan relocated to Toronto in the fall of 2005 and formed Birds of Wales. The band released a well-received EP and quickly garnered an impressive following in only a few months. “When a band has been playing Toronto for four months, but can already sell out a room, you know something really good is going on.” (Stephanie Purificati, Manager - Drake Hotel)
Birds of Wales returns to the UK this November, hot on the heels of their “creating-a-stir” first tour this past summer. “I can already sense the stirrings of a bidding war, and this first UK tour may be your only chance to catch them in a small intimate venue.” (South Wales Argus, August 11, 2006)

In the mere 12 weeks spent at home, they continue to rock n’ record the full-length follow-up to their EP of “radio friendly, mostly quiet songs & ballads… Life is radio ready.” (Exclaim! June 25, 2006) Birds of Wales is playing numerous shows across Canada, from Vancouver to Montreal, and will begin production on what promises to be a “history making” video. “The Birds have talent, but more than that, they have potential, and it’s hard not to be optimistic about their future.” (Torontoist, June 12, 2006)
