About Louise Alexandra (fka Louise Van Aarsen)

Louise Alexandra is a Boston-grown, Utrecht-based jazz vocalist and singer/songwriter. Besides her dayjob as a cancer research scientist, she sings her heart out whenever she can; you can listen to her music anytime on the usual channels. Louise has 2 albums out: DESTINY (2012 as Louise Van Aarsen)) and TODAY (2020, Louise Alexandra), both directed and produced by the late, incomparable jazz vocalist Rebecca Parris.

Marc Jazzwax Myers on TODAY (2021): "A beautiful recording by Louise. I love her voice..spirited, upbeat and beautifully melodic. On DESTINY (2012): "Like vocalists of another era, Van Aarsen's voice is deeply committed, with a hint of Carly Simon. Dig Someone and the lightly Latin Miss You Till I See You. Van Aarsen's originality and songwriting chops make this a tender choice."
