About OJR
OJR is American songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Oliver John-Rodgers.
After relocating to Nashville from New York in 2014, he independently released Nashville Demos (2015), an ambitious collection of songs—ranging from outlaw country to indie-folk to The Brian Jonestown Massacre-inspired psych-rock—self-produced entirely on the Apple software GarageBand.
"Numb," the album’s single, saw notable success on Triple-A radio throughout 2016, earning OJR opening slots for Grace Potter, The Black Angels, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Nada Surf, Galactic, and Railroad Earth, to name a few—along with glowing coverage from NPR, a shoot for Vogue Italia with Steven Meisel, and a sync placement on the Amazon Prime original series "Sneaky Pete."
2020 sees OJR continuing the Nashville Demos series with Nashville Demos, Vol. 2, out in March; U.S. tour to follow.
