About Beast War Returns

„One of Germany’s finest newcomers in Deathcore” (Ox-Fanzine) Under the direction of Heaven Shall Burn guitarist Alexander Dietz, the Debut EP Unleashed was released in 2008. It definitely proved to hit the chord with listeners, magazines and webzines. “They are entitling their Debut CD “Unleashed, totally simple and striking at the same time. On this CD, they truly ‘unleash’ a huge monster.” (HardKern) “…before you know it, they screw anything with a heartbeat.” (Terrorverlag) “One thing is for sure: There’s no such thing as a better Deathcore band in Germany than BWR, or could anyone keep pace with them. You’ll definitely hear about them in the future.” (Andreas Kuhlmann – Ox-Fanzine) The start of the “Hell on Earth Tour” in 2008 marked the first step into a new dimension, while records were selling out, the focus on the quintet from the Ruhr area grew bigger. They shared the stage across Germany with big names like Caliban, Aborted or Salt The Wound. During the support of the “Entombment of Europe Tour” and the “Beastfest European Tour” in 2009, they were tearing up stages with other firmly established acts like Suicide Silence, Emmure and After The Burial. It was during this time, when plans for a follow-up of the sold out Unleashed gradually took shape. The entirely re-released Unleashed, including remix versions of “Five Star BLT” and “Tripod Blockage”, made the wait well worth. After the support on the “Imperial Never Say Die Tour” in 2009, the time seemed right for the “Beast’s” first LP. They rapidly continued to work their way up as the opener on the “Boncecrusher Fest Tour 2010” for bands like The Black Dahlia Murder, The Faceless and Necrophobic and seized this opportunity to present their brand new songs.Halfway through 2010, the preproduction of the up-coming Lycanthropy was already done. Lycanthropy constitutes not just the member’s experiences of the last years, but also their perceivably matured approach to songwriting. The LP offers a broad range of variety and therefore proves to stick to no boundaries. It is not supposed to be a continuation of the debut EP “Unleashed”, but an ascension into higher lyrical and musical spheres Lycanthropy is not just the allegorical transformation of mankind into a beast, but also the progression of the “returning beast” into a more matured, bigger and devastating abomination. Thank you for all of your support !!! (BWR 2007-2012)
