Ten After Dawn

Fusing dark, catchy pop melodies with distorted industrial and synth pop styles, Ten After Dawn is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalists Teemu Salo and Toni Viholainen, founded in 2009.
Originally hailing from Imatra, Eastern Finland, both Teemu and Toni had many years experience composing, playing and gigging in heavy, grunge and Finnish language rock groups before forming Ten After Dawn.
With Ten After Dawn the duo entered a rarely trod arena in Finnish electronic music, mixing dark pop melodies with machine beats, club sounds and dark distorted synths with classic synth-pop influences. The duo released their first songs "Protest Song" and "Red Carpet Fever" in 2012.

Two became four when Ten After Dawn started playing live shows, with bass and drums added to the mix. Gathering a band of loyal followers, the music developed and took a change of direction to synth-pop and full electro.
Four became three when their sound became even more full electro and more organic live band was not in a line with their now strongly revisited idea about what they could and wanted to be as their 2014 added live bass player Erkka Pynnönen stayed in the line to add analog bass warmt.

Their first Single release “Visions” was released through macaroni Penguin Music in June 2015, and later this year the German Synthpop duo Solar Fake also remixed that song. Ten also featured on their 2015 album “Another Manic episode” with their remix of “Fake to Be Alive”. Ten has also shared stage with such names like Covenant and toured, besides Finland, also Denmark, Germany, Baltics and Russia, where they got a warm welcome.

Their eagerly anticipated new EP ”Best of Both Words” was released on April 21, 2017 in both digital and physical digipak CD formats, preceded by single and video ”Melody” released on March 31. The album has gained positive reviews and growing worldwide interest.

‘CLUB’, their latest single released on October 10, 2019 gives you a first taste of their new material and Ten is also working for their first album release. ‘CLUB" was produced and mixed by Teemu and mastered by Hiili Hiilesmaa.
