About The PDX Broadsides
Formed entirely on accident in September 2011 in the midst of gleeful mania, The PDX Broadsides are a trio of nerd enthusiasts who sing original and parody works about science, piracy, superheroes, our favorite fandoms, and other geeky topics with great vigor and harmony. Song topics range from the absurd ("Nathan Fillion Please Take Off Your Pants", "The Girl Who Couldn't Even") to the innocent ("Miyazaki Dreams", "The Lego Song") to downright sad ("The Story of Me", "Change The Locks"). We've got feminist leanings ("Don't Ask Me To Smile") as well as LGBTQ-friendly material ("Toad's Lament"). We're a real reflection of our Portland OR home.
After a wildly successful Kickstarter, we went on our first tour in 2017 and released a new studio album, TRUST ISSUES, following hot on the heels of SOMETHING'S ROTTEN (released August 2016), AIM TO MISBEHAVE (released May 2015) and TAKE EVERYTHING (released June 2013). We are currently performing anywhere that doesn't make us leave immediately (OryCon, NorWesCon, and the Doubleclicks' Nerd Night Out, to name a few) and writing endless songs for your amusement.
