Jon Black

Jon Black is an MC with deep, witty, lyrics, a wide range of sonically-astounding rhyme patterns and a passion for creating music that will be enjoyed by mainstream rap fans, and hip-hop purists alike. Born in San Diego, CA Jon Black began writing music at the age of 16. Growing up in South East San Diego, more specifically, the the gang-infested streets of Southeast "Daygo" exposed him to a much grittier side of life than most and the many life lessons it has taught him can be heard throughout his music.

Jon Black has performed throughout the Houston/Austin/San Antonio Metroplex and has opened for Hip-Hop Legends such as Rakim, Wu-tang Clan, Sean Price, Paul Wall, Dead Prez, Guilty Simpson and Large Professor. His live performances are just as engaging as the music he writes.
