KEVIN GALLOWAY AND TEAM NEVER DISAPPOINT. THIS WAS MY 7-8th TIME SEEING UNCLE LUCIUS, BUT FIRST TIME IN AN OPEN AIR STYLE VENUE AND THEIR SOUND WAS JUST AS IMPRESSIVE AS IN THE SMALL HONKY TONKS. HUGE SHOUT OUT TO JOSH GROSSMAN AS WELL THAT DUDE IS AWESOME ON THE PIANO, ORGAN AND SQUEEZE BOX!

Outstanding performance! Lead guitarist Mike Carpenter was in fine form. Looked like everyone had a great time. We were sad to hear that the venue will now only host private events, no more shows.

Both bands were awesome!! Great songs, vocals, and instrumental!!! Definitely hoping they come back soon!!! First time at the Longhorn Ballroom. We will be back again!!!

The band was astonishing. Kevin's voice was rich and soulful. Everyone was a clinician of their trade. Two awesome lead guitars... out of this world. A must see for any concert goer

All around a great night and music! The Uncle Lucius band was great! Looking forward to the next time! The Barrelhouse staff was very informative and friendly!

Uncle Lucius was as we anticipated. SPECTACULAR!! The M.C. introduced them as a singular person. Kevin Galloway graciously informed the audience the band was not named to be known as one person (ie David Bowie, Cher, etc) Rather, all the musicians on the stage. I equate the venue's sound system much like one in the cafeteria of a grade school, kindergarten performance. Seating is outdoors on plastic picnic tables and epoxy table tops. August temperatures caused sweaty arms to rest on surfaces that became slippery & uncomfortable. The band gets 5 stars. The venue 1/2

The band was amazing as always. The house sound was good but not quiet as good as I remember it a year or so ago when we saw Grady Spencer and The Work. Had a great time. The staff was great and food was good as always. Good crowd too no issues.

Great show in a very intimate venue. Great set list. Sound was great! Glad I drove the two hours from Des Moines to see the show!!

The band was phenomenal! Kevin still has the charismatic pipes, the keyboardist is most enthusiastic, and the dueling guitarists are quite talented. Comfortable venue, decent acoustics, reasonable drink prices.

EXCELLENT show! Played for two hours. Energized the audience. Friendly well mannered crowd. We are grateful the floor at The Burl is wooden and not concrete--a little more comfortable for standing.

Uncle Lucius exceeded our eager expectations. But, I wasn't surprised at all. From seeing them countless times over the years. It was another celestial performance, fueled by raw passion, chemistry, and energy that can only be replicated time and time again by these masters of their craft. One would never know they recently reunited after a six year hiatus. Loyal fans anxiously await the soon to release new album. The Heights Theater is a splendid venue offering premium seating, up and downstairs bar, clean restrooms and professional, customer service oriented staffers. We used to see Uncle Lucius regularly when we lived in Texas. It’s great to see them back together. Amazing energy on stage. The new songs sound great as well. The venue is also fantastic with great ambiance and amazing staff.

These dudes never fail to kill it live. So glad they are back out on the road touring again. Knuckleheads remains the premier live music venue in the KC area.

The food was great. Seeing the guys back together was just awesome. But the crowd sucked! So disrespectful to those of us who had been there since 5:00. They crowded the stage and we were not able to see at all from our table. I didn’t even know crowding the stage at Stanley’s was a thing. Won’t be going back for any live music there.

every show is Great but the show was OVER THE TOP! SO MUCH SOUL, JAZZY, BLUESY, ROCK GREAT GREAT GREAT (I Wish this show was recorded for later reminiscing off-the-wall glory days!)

An excellent show indeed. But I must say this- shame on whoever was in charge of promoting this event! The turnout may have been lacking but trust me when I say the artistry of the Uncles certainly was not.

It isn't very often a band performs live and sounds exactly like their album but Uncle Lucius did. Their deep lyrics were lost on most of the crowd but they were great.
