Los Huracanes del Norte

Throughout a remarkable career that has spanned more than four decades, Los Huracanes del Norte have established themselves as one of the most popular Norteño groups in the genre, a reputation that has allowed them to tour extensively and build a global fanbase. Whether mingling with industry representatives at an awards show or delighting ticket buyers during a high-energy performance that accompanies a rodeo, Los Huracanes del Norte have had no trouble demonstrating why they've been able to sustain such a lengthy and prosperous career. Live shows are particularly memorable and feature rousing musical arrangements that accompany signature harmonies. Their discography includes dozens of albums, including the most recent, "Como Un Huracán," released in 2012.

Although the band formed in 1969 under the name Los Cuatro del Norte, their breakthrough didn't come until almost a decade later, in 1978, when "La Musiquera" went on to become their first album to sell hundreds of thousands of copies. For the next decade and a half, the band consistently ranked in the top ten of Billboard's regional Mexican charts. In 2002, 2009 and 2011, the band was nominated at the Latin Grammy Awards for Best Norteño Album.
