Young Colt

My name is Benjamin Hines and the reason I co-founded, write, and perform in Young Colt is because once I fell for a girl that introduced me to Jeff Buckley. I became particularly obsessed. Jeff said that his notorious singing ability grew from hard work more than natural talent. This was so inspiring to me. In 2010 I began teaching myself to sing, I honed my craft as a singer and songwriter. In early 2012; along with long time friend Nick Elbisser, we formed Young Colt. Nick really just beginning to drum as I was beginning to sing, spent the rest of that year creating our own sound. After a year as a 2-piece and a six song EP to show, (youngcolt.bandcamp.com/album/fightin) we began working with two more friends. Justin Barrett and Ricky Little III joined in December 2012.
