Laurie Anderson

Absolutely fantastic show. Laurie Anderson is a queen of badassery. Loved SexMob, her backup group. Great mix of classic and newer work. As fresh and timely as it ever was.

Laurie was brilliant, this was the 5th time I had seen her perform, each unique and powerful. She is truly a treasure.

I have been a fan of Laurie Anderson since the 1981 release of the "O Superman" maxi single. Once I heard that, I collected even earlier work of hers that appeared on compilation albums like "New Music for Electronic and Recorded Media" and"You're the Guy I Want to Share My Money With." I have collected everything she has released since. I have seen her in concert over a dozen times. This show was a retrospective of music from throughout her career. Laurie and her team of musicians delivered a great concert! Everything from the performance of the music to the projected visuals was top-notch! The show brought back many memories and gave me thoughts to chew on about the current state of the world. The theater itself was the perfect venue for this. The seats were comfortable, and the staff was very professional and gracious. After the show, a limited edition, hand-printed poster specific to that night's performance was offered for sale in the lobby. I will never forget that evening!

First half, with the oldest material from Big Science and United States, was great. 2nd half was great if you like avant garde jazz, but pretty awful otherwise.
