Liz Wright’s grace and sultry smooth voice allows her not to be niched only as jazz, folk, country or gospel. Such a beautiful and engaging sound whatever she sings along with tremendous lead guitarist, bassist and drum and lest I ever forget THE ORGANIST! A lovely evening with a truly Lovely Lady!

If I could I would give her 10 more stars …. Her exquisite voice the amazing talent of her band especially her pianist is a moving experience . If you want to see true talent ,passion and joy go see Lizz .

Lizz Wright’s voice is mesmerizing and enthralling, drawing you in while entertaining you with her passionate and soulful voice. It feels good sharing the same space with her. You wish the concert would never end!

She was very very good. She has style. Her voice is special. I hope she could come again in France. Thanks for the effort her band and herself made. I liked the 8:30 pm joke. God bless her and the band.

This was my first time hearing and seeing Lizz Wright perform. She is definitely a seasoned singer and one that will be going on my radar. Her style of music made a perfect combination with George Benson and Gregory Porter. Made for a very lovely evening show.

Awesome night in a gorgeous place, magical artist close to the audience. One of the best voices of all time in American music. Also, fantastic troup, with one of my favourites guitar players, Adam Levy, who paints with notes beautiful and deep textures in a unique approach. I pray for a soon next concert in our country.

Lizz Wright and her incredible band were absolutely amazing!! I have waited years to actually see and hear her live. I was not disappointed. It's rare to hear an artist that sounds the same live as what is produced in a recording studio. But Lizz is just that great. I was thrilled and enjoyed every minute of her performance. ❤️❤️

It was my first time visiting The Carlyle Room and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the experience; didn’t hurt to have the incomparable Ms. Lizz Wright as the featured entertainment either! She tantalized the crowd with superb pitch, diction and a tickling of the ivories while interjecting humorous chatter on occasion. And once the show came to an end, as expected, Lizz and her band treated those in attendance with an encore that included two songs and a mini jam session by her musicians. Bravo, Ms. Wright…👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

While not the most well-known, Lizz Wright is perhaps the single best vocalist in the US today! The emotional depth of her delivery is beyond imagining. The service was excellent. The lack of space to dance is a shortcoming of the City Winery.

One of the best live performances we have ever seen! Wonderfully talented musicians in the band. Lizz’s voice is sensational; strong, tender, bluesy, & soulful. We will def see her live again!

An outstanding concert filled with pure soul, gospel, and Jazz vibes. Ms. Wright performed wonderfully amid a captured audience! I wish I could have stayed for pictures and just to say hello. We really enjoyed what felt like a moving night of peaceful, uplifting music! I hope she comes back with her spectacular band.

Another sublime experience by a seasoned vocal stylist whose every choice of phrasing and intonation is a revelation. Opening with a stripped down 'Amazing Grace' for her to measure the room and the crowd? Genius at work! Her constant reinvention, even of her own work, always surprises and elevates the audience in ways we too often forget are a gift. No giant video wall, no booming sound, no pyrotechnics, just her freedom to enrapture us, and surround us with (her) grace.

Lizz enjoys seeing her audience, which strengthens the connection we feel to her. Her delivery was as expected- superb. The location gave the community an opportunity to taste her gifts up close and personal.

This was my 3rd time seeing Lizz in Concert (2nd time with just her) and she was JUST radiant. I loved the duo concert experience with her and Kenny Banks, Sr. and their interpretation of wonderful jazz standards as well as her own works. I was speaking with a gentleman after the concert who was seated next to me and he basically summed up the concert like this..."The future of music/jazz is in good hands. Artist like Ella Fitzgerald would be delighted with artists like Lizz Wright". I concur. Lizz is very personable, funny, expressive with her vocal range and style, and just down to mother earth. Kenny Banks, Sr. is just fabulous and a MASTER of the keys, particularly the Hammond Organ.

I regret I could not attend the Lizz Wright tribute to Ramsey Lewis last evening. Ms. Wright is now my favorite vocalist. I hope to see her at Ravinia in the near future.

The entire concert was great! However, Lizz Wright is the reason I purchased the tickets. I was excited to share the experience with others. Lizz Wright did not disappoint. Love her voice, her smile and her dedication to lyrics, the music.

Simply awesome!!! Both artists are unbelievable but José James was incredible! I only wish his set was longer - I could have watched him all night. Can’t wait to see him again.

Lizz Wright was awesome! It was my first time seeing her perform live...I’ve been a fan for years. I look forward to hearing her again! Even if it means a road trip! Lyrics passionately delivered in song! Ear Candy!

Her tone is like no other. She sounds EXACTLY like her records. I'd attend another show of hers in a heartbeat. Leeda Lyric Jones was great too. It made so much sense. So glad I went!
