LYDA Music

Music has always been my passion! My family tells me that I started singing before I could talk. I started writing songs and lyrics when I was 9 years old. From there, my singing progressed! I sang at church and at my sisters wedding when I was 12. But my music really started progressing when I picked up the guitar in 2011. I fell in love with it and I seriously couldn't put it down! I've been writing songs on the guitar ever since! This year, 2012 is when music really took me in. I started playing my own shows around town and I got more confident! I got to travel to Dallas Tx to audition for The Voice. I got to spend a day in Austin recording background vocals for one of my favorite singers solo album. I've gotten awesome opportunities to meet ALL of my favorite bands this year and have become friends with most of them. They encourage me and support me! A lot has happened to me music wise this year! I finally accepted the fact that this IS my passion and I will NOT change for anyone! I don't need to find anything else to do with my life because God has made this my life! I've enjoyed getting to see myself grow in music this year and I'm excited to see what's next.
