Woods of Ypres

Forming in 2002, Woods of Ypres is a black metal band hailing from Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Their demo, "Against the Seasons: Cold Winter Songs From the Dead Summer Heat" is an overall considered more of a "black" release than "Pursuit of the Sun & Allure of the Earth", which utilizes a lot of acoustic guitars and clean vocals, and deserves the term "melodic black metal" moreso than the demo.
